The space and space is enough to move. The WiFi works and the TV with DStv is a bonus! The facilities are top class! Everything is in working order and the place is very neat and clean.
Wish we could visit longer. Beautiful unit with washing machine and jacuzzi. Hostess was not there during period we could check in, and we had to wait and make calls, but stay was very pleasant.
First, most me and my friend have enjoyed the stay just I think you should build a roof to cover the jacuzzi for any weather type of weather but overall was pleasant. Odette was such a lovely host and also helpful.
It was a lovely stay but we were woken up by neighbours having an ugly argument at 2 am in the morning.

We were very disappointed. The jacuzzi was not in working order, it was dirty on arrival, and it did not heat up. The curtains had mould on them, and it is not private as we would have liked. It made the stay unpleasant.

All you require for a fabulous self catering stay. It was so amazing. We loved every minute.
We booked in for a wedding in Kleinmond on Saturday afternoon, slept there on Saturday night and hit the road again at 06:00 on Sunday morning back to Kathu (Northern Cape). Will check in there for more nights next time.

Stukkie Van Der Merwe Holiday Cottage is a very neat place, you are private and safe. Close to the sea, as well as close to the Whale Coast Mall. The owner is very friendly and it's just a good place if you want to get away for a little vacation.
Reception was great. The parking is a bit narrow, cannot move comfortably in and out of the vehicle. We really enjoyed the weekend and it is child friendly, exactly what we were looking for.
Secure a unit to recommend! Everything and more that is needed for a wonderful visit. Hostess/owner very friendly and helpful. Unit very neat, clean, very well equipped. Will definitely stay there again.

Odette was so helpful especially when we needed plasters and ointment at 11 o'clock in the evening. She helped like a mother.

The cottage was fully equipped with all necessities. Mattresses still very good and slept well. There were also nice and warm blankets available for the cold. Lovely private outdoor barbecue area. The biggest bonus was having full DStv for oldies who can't hang out around the fire so late. Although it is not on the beach, it is still close enough. Due to the cottage being connected to the pipe yard behind the main house, the cars could not fit in the driveway and had to park outside the entrance, but it was very safe and caused no concern. Can definitely recommend. Thank you also for pleasant hospitality.

Was welcomed with open arms. Very cute house, enough space, a nice braai area. Away from owner, that's a big bonus. Could play music and be at ease. Air-con, full DStv and WiFi available, absolutely great visit. Definitely worth it.
We had a great time thank you. Our four sisters and our 97-year-old mother enjoyed it immensely. Since my mother is in a wheelchair and also the weather, we spent the few days indoors, but this in no way detracted from the fact that we absolutely enjoyed catching up with each other and having a good time. Had a very friendly reception and had a nice chat with the owner.
We stayed 4 nights. The house was clean and tidy. The only minor bad comment I would give is that the outside area sticks out a bit against the nice/neat inside area. Short towel rails in the bathroom and short dish rails in the kitchen.
Very well equipped and nice peaceful. Braai facilities is outstanding. Everything neat and very comfortable.
Odette is an extremely warm and helpful hostess. The cottage is very fully equipped and offers good value for money. I can confidently recommend it and will go back to Stukkie van der Merwe cottage myself. It "ticks all the boxes".

We arrived late at night because of our flight in Cape Town and Odette gave us a friendly welcome. The accommodation is neat and clean and we were impressed with all the facilities in the cottage. You stay on your own and it's totally private and you can come and go as you please. We'll stay there again anytime.
A very neat little cottage with everything one needs. Only two points: the mattresses in the second bedroom (with 2 single beds) were battered and very thin. The second night we placed pillows under the mattresses so that one does not lie down on the boards. Our friends who slept there had a really bad experience. It would also be good to have a non-slip mat in the bath as the shower is over the bath and the bath is very slippery. The warning on the bathroom wall makes one think that there was a previous need for this. Two easily solvable little problems that can make a big difference.
