40 guests' feedbackIt was very pleasant and peaceful, just what we needed!
Friendly service. Peaceful with wildlife that was walking distance from our chalet. Beautiful.
We had a very pleasant 4-night stay. The accommodation is set quite a distance from the main complex and is very private and secluded, giving us total peace and quiet for the duration of our stay.
We really enjoyed our getaway, especially because it was so close to home.
We had such a wonderful stay once again, and everything was just right. We wanted peace and quiet and we got that and more. Sally was a gracious hostess and the two huge dogs really helped to make us feel safer. The braai was cleaned every morning, and the cutlery in the unit is fantastic and so complete. One can see a lady's touch everywhere.
Our stay was once again very pleasant, uniquely quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed our time there and will visit again in the future.
Very nice stay. Everything needed was available. Also after enough of Dinokeng wildlife park.
Our stay in the chalet was very pleasant. We loved the quiet nature. We were a bit disappointed as 'game lodge' made us think we would be able to drive around in the nature reserve and look at game, which is not the case at Stumble Inn - it is only accommodation between other game lodges - so we did not actually see antelope as expected.
The unit in question was nice and private.
The accommodation was clean and tidy, and everything in working order. Reception was friendly and without frills. The only shortcoming was the absence of tongs.
We had a great stay.
Ideal place if you just want to get away for a weekend. It's not too far from the city and quiet. Not much to do for kids.
We had a very warm welcome. Sally was so nice, and saved us by lending us her coffee plunger. Her dogs were so friendly, they came to check on us regularly. The view from our chalet was amazing. We felt right at home.
Stumble Inn Game Lodge is an undiscovered gem close to Pta. Neat, clean, out of the way and everything we were looking for. Well laid out unit with tasteful decor and furniture. The kitchen is just the right size with lots of equipment and utensils. Saw a few buck species right on the front lawn almost every day. Unit nice and cool even in the heat of the day. Luckily we had our own WiFi because the in-house one is not so great. Vodacom and Telkom reception is good, but MTN is dodgy at best. Large guard dogs on the premises put our minds at ease regarding safety. Load shedding didn't bother us that much. Owners were friendly and helpful, staff efficient. We enjoyed our stay and would really like to visit again in the future.
There are animals in the mornings. If you need to get away for a little bit, this is the place. It was very warm, but there is a fan provided as well.
Very good. We had fun.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The accommodation was neat. The sleeping and shower facilities were very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. The environment is beautiful. We enjoyed the pool so much (especially during the heat wave). Even went for a walk and saw wildebeest, zebras, warthogs, and springbok. It was a lovely relaxing holiday!
Some of the other accommodations get a little dark inside due to layouts.
The beds are uncomfortable, the fridge made terrible noise, shower very uncomfortable and no place for toiletries, or place to put things down.
Exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, private and peaceful with lots of animal life.
Nice stay and visit. People were very pleasant. Was able to rest and visit. Loadshedding just a problem. Wasn't informed about it.
Sally was professional, friendly and forgiving of our mistakes - leaving lights on in another chalet and putting ash into a bin directly.
We were looking for a quick, peaceful and quiet getaway to just relax on the Easter weekend. It was delicious. No TV, just the forest. Chalet is beautifully appointed and spacious. From the porch we could see the animals that came to drink water. Warthogs, zebras, goats. It is also possible to go for a walk. I would recommend it.
See stars.
Stumble Inn's owners are friendly and helpful. The chalet was very well equipped for a self-catering unit and even had a dustbin in the toilet too - something you don't find in places every day. There was nice hand washing soap and everything one might need for a nice quiet and relaxing weekend. The room was clean and tidy and well laid out. The view from our chalet (Bush Willow) was over the waterhole and we saw zebras, impalas, blue wildebeest, warthogs and many birds. There are also other animals to be seen, but they were a bit shy. Truly a place under the African sun to experience. We will definitely go back again in the future.
My husband and I were looking for a quiet place where we could just get away from the hustle and bustle of the city for the weekend. I literally stumble upon Stumble Inn and were definitely not disappointed! From the booking process to booking in at the lodge itself, were a breeze. We stayed in the Mahogany room and were very impressed with the neat- and cleanliness of the room. Not to mention the luxurious bath in the room. Very romantic! We absolutely loved our stay, and were sad that it was so short. We will definitely return in the near future.
A very peaceful place. Nice and quiet.
We would definitley recommend Stumble Inn. Lovely and peaceful getaway from the city. Enjoyed the outside shower! Sally was a good host and very welcoming.
The people are friendly and are very casual and our visit with them was also pleasant. We will go again. The neighbours' dogs barked a few times and you could hear the main road in the still evening. The wildlife comes to drink water at a water hole early in the morning and when the sun has gone down.
Environment is wonderful. A little more attention is required with customer service. Plekkie looks like he no longer gets the attention he needs to maintain. Layout of the unit was very nice and adequate. Outdoor shower ─ fantastic, really enjoyed it. Braai area is also very cute.
All you need was available within the accommodation. Quite and relaxing.
Worried about the outside showers (it's fun), but the floor tiles are dangerously slippery and you can get hurt if you fall. Boekenhout's shower wall can be built higher - I think a tall lady will feel uncomfortable showering there. Maintenance needs attention. Opened bathroom tap and the tap got loose in my hand and water was spraying. Was quite funny and cool for the hot day. Kitchen not practical. Had to move electrical appliances to use gas equipment for cooking during the "load shedding sessions". It is not tiled where cooking facilities are, and it does bother with cooking.
Very peaceful environment. Really enjoyed the animals. Accommodation: the people are pleasant and very friendly, go out of their way to help you.
Interesting!
Owners should update their website. Pool is not shared and not solar heated. There is no restaurant.
Beautiful place. Feel free to do so.
We loved this place, kids enjoyed the bush and loved building fires on the fire pit, place was well equipped and comfortable and felt like home.
It is a nice relaxing place to go if you plan on parking your car and not leaving the chalet till you leave. There needs to be more clarity that you cannot do game drives and that you can only walk on the trails. This made it difficult for us as we have two children aged 1 and 3 and were not able to walk with them. The communal swimming pool is in front of another chalet and made it feel as if you were invading on the other guest privacy when going to swim. While we did relax and there was game that came to drink from the waterhole near our chalet, we will not go back as it was not what we expected.
Definitely not worth the price we paid! We understand that it has been a very dry season and that there were water restrictions but then it should be put on the site. Contrasting to the photos on the site there was literally no grass at all. Dust everywhere. The "waterhole" was non-existent and therefor no game. The only entertainment for little children was the swimming pool. We had to drive out to Dinokeng and to Cullinan just to keep the kids busy. The Bougainvilla room we stayed in was adjacent (only separated by a door) to a room which is clearly for a couple who had a romantic weekend in mind, which is not so romantic if you are woken by 2 small kids at 5 in the morning. The reception was not very professional and when the owner tells you that you don't have to worry about the big dogs, they won't bite, but they had a bit of crime lately, you don't feel very comfortable.
