View of the ocean was fantastic. Spacious living and dining area. Will definitely recommend this to my friends and will return in the near future.

Very cute place. All the time worried about the little ones getting dirty, because the bedding is all white and pretty and the sofas such a creamy light sea sand brown colour. The shower's volume of water spray is fantastic, really 2 nice showers. Fully equipped. Everything you want. Really a lovely view. Sat there for hours. Take binoculars with you. The place was clean on arrival and was cleaned 2 times in 5 days (dishes, and beds made and put aside). Arrived on Monday. Was cleaned on Wednesday and Friday. Nice parking area for 2 vehicles. Toyota bakkie just fit in. Thank goodness for the lift, very convenient, better than climbing stairs. I can't think of anything really bad. It's just a quiet place with not many restaurants, but what there is is enough and cute. It was nice and comfortable. It's a hefty sum to pay, but I honestly think it's the best apartment in Umdloti.

We stayed as a family in 3 of the units in Sugar Beach for my Mother's 72nd birthday. No one told us ahead of time that they were doing maintenance work at the building. From early in the morning there was hacking and commotion, with pieces of construction debris falling down from above the "scaffolding". Furthermore, the lift broke - and to top it all off, the stairs were also full of "scaffolding". Needless to say, it was with great difficulty that we had to get to the top of our apartment with the children's prams and even worse - my poor elderly parents who had to struggle up and down the stairs through the "scaffolding". The right thing for Sugar Beach to do is to close reservations for the period that maintenance is being done. It is dangerous and deeply disturbing. The workers were working right against our room windows.
