Johan and Joy, thank you for the lovely stay. Love the hot and cold pools for relaxation. I only have 1 suggestion. Please keep wood on your premises for the wood-fired hot tub which I will gladly buy from you. It makes life slightly easier. I can only recommend unit 8, the self-catering unit, as this was our stay, but I'm pretty sure the other units are just as lovely and well-maintained. Love the fact that you have ample water pressure in the shower. Keep up the good work! Will see you again!
We enjoyed the Jacuzzi, the most we stayed in the Jacuzzi was for 3 hours. I will definitely come back.

Place is clean and tidy - no fault with it. There is a fine line between being cost effective and a stingy look. (plastic teaspoons, one bag of sugar per cup, no mug to fill kettle etc!). No contact with any staff/management/employee (just a WhatsApp message). There is better accommodation available in Caledon for the same price.
Everything here is neatly organised, from the key in the locker to a parking space. No problems; can recommend the place.

We had an amazing stay at Swartberg. Johan and Joy are very friendly people, and always willing to help and assist. I stayed there the Friday night before my wedding and we sat in the hot tub in the rain, and enjoyed it very much. The Saturday we had loadshedding while we prepared for the wedding, and they were kind enough to put on the generator for us, so that we could finish all the bridesmaids' hair. The breakfast was excellent. Thank you very much Johan and Joy.
Had a great stay and will definitely use them again in the future.

We were in town for a wedding so for that purpose the en suite room was adequate. Everything was clean and tidy. Central location for the wedding and also to get to the town's shops quickly.
Great place with beautiful room and friendly hosts. Only problem was a noisy fridge in the room which kept me awake.
We were invited to a wedding outside Caledon and we stayed at Swartberg Guest House. Very clean and spacious room that was well equipped. Our host, Johan, was very friendly and helpful. We can definitely recommend Swartberg Gastehuis.
Neat and clean, easy to find.
There is currently a construction going on and if I had known about it in advance I would not have made the reservation. However, I believe the construction started after I made my reservation. It was not possible to park all the vehicles in the yard because building sand etc. Cars also had to be moved to accommodate the builders. My suggestion would be that guests are informed in advance and then given a choice as to whether they might want to change their reservation.
The accommodation was clean, tidy and very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and we had a wonderful stay. Really value for money.
I have some suggestions however. A small bedside table on both sides of the bed with an additional bedlamp would be appreciated. More hanging space for clothes. Could one cupboard be made available. One does not want to work out of a suitcase all the time.
We enjoyed our stay. Everything was neat. Johann expected us and was very friendly. He was also very helpful and informed us where we could go to town for dinner.
Room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for the quick sleepover.

Room was very neat and clean. Was pleasantly surprised with the extra items in the bathroom, such as "earbuds" and cotton wool. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Just would have liked air conditioning as it was very hot and the ceiling fan and fan made too much noise. But I would definitely recommend the guest house.

Our family of 8 traveled to Caledon for a wedding. Our reception was extremely friendly and helpful and we all immediately felt very welcome. Rooms beautifully neat and clean. Location good, felt safe, parking on site, everything was good and great.
To sum up our stay (one night): Fantastic. The comfortable king-size bed ensured a great night's rest and the room and bathroom were immaculately clean and tidy. Posters reminding guests to save water were visible, so many plus points for you, Johan! As mentioned to you when we left, we would recommend your guest house anytime.

The room we stayed in didn't have a lot of space next to the bed, but there is not much to be done about that. Other than that we were impressed by the service and the quality of everything in the room. One can see that they have gone to a lot of effort to satisfy even those who complain a lot.

We had a good stay at Swartberg after a wedding that we attended in Caledon.
Everything was perfect, maybe a bit expensive per night. In Beaufort-West and Graaff-Reinet similar places, which offer exactly the same and are more spacious, overnight in the same week, almost half the price per night. But stay itself was still perfect.
Our stay was quiet, safe and close to town. There is only one bit of criticism I would like to offer. The bed in the apartment, which is a pull-out couch, was really uncomfortable to sleep on. Other than that, everything was clean and tidy with nice cookies and crackers as snacks for the guests.
I had a great time staying there and it is close to everything I enjoyed, I will stay there again, the place to sleep was very nice and comfortable and there is a very nice view. Thank you for a nice place where I could sleep.
Very pleasant stay and outstanding service. Special thanks to Johan who was willing to also make extra and delicious breakfast for my 2 brothers and sister-in-law, who didn't even stay there. Will definitely stay there again if the opportunity arises.

We were quite comfortable, but it was cold so heaters would have been nice. No security gates or burglar bars, so we didn't have peace of mind. The very thin/hard toilet paper was selfish.
Stunning guesthouse - Johan was a very good host. Clean, neat and very comfortable room. Everything is renovated recently with good taste. Thank you for a great night.
