It was food for the soul to be able to experience the beautiful place with nature.
It felt to me like they were neglecting the tented camp and paying more attention to the lodge. The kitchen is also very sparsely equipped. There were also 2 misunderstandings with the staff. That said, the farm is beautiful, and well located in the middle of Gauteng and the Western Cape. Lots of potential.

We really enjoyed the venue and found the service exceptional. The dinner was excellent and everything very nice and clean. The wind affected our tent a bit and we could sleep more easily if the sides were anchored a little more firmly. A duvet or extra blanket for the children's bed is also recommended. Overall a very nice stay, thank you.
We needed overnight accommodation in the Carnarvon/Britstown area. What better place than a tented camp? It was decent gravel road of about 1 km to the establishment, which is within short walk of the lodge/main amenities. Lovely tranquil feel to the place. They offered braai packs for an extra fee, with what we needed to make supper as the restaurant was closing earlier as it was Christmas day. The braai packs were very good. Making fire in the boma too. Each tent with small kitchen and ablutions. Tent accommodation was comfortable, kids shared sleeper coach linens were pristine. It was very windy during the night so would have slept better otherwise. Except for some housekeeping suggestions I'd rate them topnotch.
The facilities to barbecue yourself were not ideal, got the impression that the tented camp should be marketed more just as a place to sleep and that one should instead eat at the hotel. The braai was not clean, had to ask for blitz and pots and kettle.
We would recommend. The price was right, the tent was awesome and the fact that we had our own kitchen and bathroom was a very very welcome surprise.
The tent is so beautifully decorated with percale linen, beautiful quality furniture and lamps, and what a fantastic mattress! The whole feel of the camp is just so peaceful and I can definitely recommend the tented camp for an overnight break to break the long road. We would love to spend a weekend there. And our dogs were welcome to sleep over with us. Thank you very much Dorette for the good service.
Tent is very neat and comfortable. Can only recommend for more kitchen facilities. The kitchen could perhaps be a little better equipped with cooking equipment. But it was a very nice overnight "spot". Will definitely stay there again!
It doesn't look at all like in the photo, in the photo the tents are complete with bed, couch, etc. When we got there, our tent was only equipped with a bed. The tents themselves need attention and were not properly cleaned inside. The braai place was untidy and a lot of weeds. The farm and surroundings are very beautiful. Nice clean wildlife and you can relax and rest.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Facilities clean and tidy. The meal that was served was comparable to the best restaurants' meals!
The venue is amazing. Top-shelf food and the people understand the word hospitality.

Booking issue resolved quickly, but not nice to know you were not accepted and tent not ready. Thank you for professional service. Please improve on the following: inform guests of how things are run at the venue, ensure there are no stains on bedding sheets and lastly be visible. We enjoyed the stay and the quiet beautiful scenery, but missed the special touch. Will book again in future.

I loved the place, its so nice to sit outside by the fire and listen to the night life on the farm. Very friendly staff. I will go back and stay again.
