The Beach Room was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed and quality bedding. The space is a bit cramped, but was sufficient for our needs. The unit is particularly well equipped in case of load shedding. We went to the office during the day and literally slept there, drank coffee and showered. The Beach Room is centrally located, within 10 minutes from our office, a stone's throw from the sea and very close to good restaurants and shopping centres. We will definitely stay in The Beach Room again.
The Beach Room is perfect for a couple. It is close to the Mall and Waterfront, and there are many restaurants within walking distance. We were kindly received and had a very nice stay.

The small size of the room is compensated for by the closeness of Milnerton Beach, one of the longest uninterrupted stretches of sand close to Cape Town. It is literally a minute's walk to the beach. The Beach Room is also very well equipped for a short stay of three to four days, with everything you need to make your visit comfortable. The private outdoor seating area extends the living space. Louise is a lovely hostess, who makes you feel welcome right away.

The Beach Room is perfect for business travellers. The owners are very friendly and Louise is extremely helpful. The area is very quiet, so a person is able to unwind after a long day. The beach is not visible, however is a mere 100 m walk from the room.

All the appliances and fittings are of great quality and everything works. The room is a bit on the small side, but then again you dont spend the entire day in it. Heavy rains could be problematic though and it would be great if the area directly in front of the sliding door entrance was covered.

Although the Beach Room is somewhat small, it is ideal as a base for exploring Cape Town and the surrounding area. The daily entry and exit to the complex was well organized. Louise received us generously and showed us around. Located very close to the beach for nice walks.

If your plan is (like us) to spend little time there and really only need a place to sleep, this is the perfect place. Feel safe, it's clean and well maintained. Plekkie is very small and a bit cramped but everything you need is there. The owner is super friendly and helpful, we could easily bother her with anything. Unfortunately, there is no view from the place in any direction. The beach is just around the building and you have a very nice view from there. Owner is very keen to provide you with chairs, umbrella etc etc which helped us a lot as we flew and couldn't take everything with us. It would be nice if there was a barbecue nearby. Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality, we will definitely go there again if we are in that direction.

For the purpose of our visit this was just right. Was looking for a peaceful, quiet place to basically just sleep over and if the weather would allow it, take a quick trip to the beach. If you want to stay at home for more time (e.g. barbecue and visit with guests) during your stay, these may not work for you. I will go back again seeing as I visit Cape Town most of the time for work (office in Century City). Very friendly hostess.
The photos create a completely different place to stay. The room was neat, but not suitable for two people. Recommendation will be for one person only and also only for one night's stay. In other words - what you get and the image created with the gardens and the place to stay is definitely not what you get. Bathroom is just so terribly cramped. Parking on another lot. We left one day earlier than we paid for.

It was the most enjoyable stay we have ever had in the Cape. You don't even walk 2 minutes and you are on the most beautiful, long beach. Eating places are within walking distance and practically on the beach. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

For a stay in Cape Town this cosy room is perfect! I can't think of one thing that was wrong with the Beach Room. Louise made sure we had a lovely and warm welcome, and gave us several tips to enjoy Cape Town even more. City centre is not at all far away and the beach is easily reachable on foot. Very safe and lovely "village". Definitely recommend this accommodation!
My husband and I were so lucky to have spent the first part of our honeymoon at this special place. It is so laid back and beautiful! It was all that we needed and more. The location is perfect as it is central to all nearby attractions. The beach is literally on your doorstep with amazing views. Louise and her husband are the kindest people and made us feel at home with their welcoming smiles and happy nature. We were happy to call The Beach Room our home away from home!
For a holiday in the Cape, you don't need anything more. The place is neat and clean. It is centrally located and easily accessible for any tourist. The proximity to the beach and picturesque view make it that much more promising. The owners are particularly friendly, helpful and wonderful people. We would call at The Beach Room again anytime and recommend anyone to do the same. Next time we will only want to stay longer than a week, it was so nice.

The best place to stay if you are in Cape Town.
Before our arrival we were in contact with Louis. She made sure that all the arrangements regarding security was arranged. Friendly reception and very comfortable accommodation with a very central location. Lots of information about everything there is to do in and around the Cape with up to MyCiti bus tickets at our disposal. Very nice, comfortable stay and we will stay there again. House rules
We do not generally require a security and damage deposit. However, we rely on the honesty of our guests to let us know if something in the room is accidentally damaged or broken so we can square up the costs before you leave.The studio room with free wi-fi sleeps 1 or 2 adults in a small, cosy room furnished with a queen-size bed made up with crisp, white bed linen. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower, basin and toilet. Towels, shower gel, shampoo and body lotion are supplied.
In-room facilities include a flat-screen Smart TV with full DStv Premium channels, built-in cupboard, a wall-mounted workstation with a space-saving fold-down counter and free Wi-Fi internet access. The room also offers basic self-catering facilities, which include a bar fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee plunger, crockery and cutlery.
The room is completely separate from the main house with its own entrance and a small courtyard with 2 chairs and a small table for your exclusive relaxation and leisure. Secure parking in designated visitor parking bays are available. There are 3 communal swimming pools on the Island for the enjoyment of residents and guests. Tranquil communal gardens on Woodbridge Island also afford plenty of quiet relaxation space where you can sit back, enjoy the scene or read in peace and quiet.
The highlight of staying on Woodbridge Island, is the 5 kilometre-stretch of beach less than 50 metres from your front door. Here you can surf, run or walk to your heart's content against the picture-postcard backdrop of Table Mountain and the City on the one side and Bloubergstrand on the other with Robben Island across the bay.
Less than 5 minutes on foot to 4 local beach bars and restaurants, serving all-day breakfasts, lunch and dinner. The ever-popular BOSSA restaurant and bar, with its breathtaking views of the city and Table Mountain, is just across the way from the entrance to the Estate.
The Centrepoint Shopping Centre is within easy walking distance. Here you'll find Pick 'n Pay, a liquor store, Clicks and a gym. Across the road is a Shoprite and a Spar.
The kite-boarding hot spot of Tableview is less than 9 km away as well as more local surfing spots including Eden on the Bay/Big Bay. The cycle lane takes you either in the direction of Tableview along the beachfront or right into Cape Town city centre. For gym lovers, the Century City Virgin Active branch is 10 minutes away at the popular Canal Walk shopping and entertainment complex.
Across from the entrance to Woodbridge Island you can play links golf on Milnerton Golf course and canoe on the Milnerton Lagoon.
