If you want to rest in the mountains and look for a nice place to stay - look no further. The Bell @ Fernwood is everything you need to have a really nice holiday. Everything you need and more. Very neat, clean, comfortable, nice place to stay with an incredible view: Nice to do things like walking and swimming and we also enjoyed the games room. Definitely our choice of place to stay if we visit that area again!

We have always wanted to stay at The Bell @ Fernwood and our expectations were most definitely met. Had one of the most relaxing weekends in a very long time.
It is a beautiful place. The house is modern and well maintained. It lives well and has everything needed. We will definitely try to go again.
A lovely comfortable house with the most beautiful view of the mountains. And if you're going to stay there, you should make time to come to the Drakensberg Boys' Choir if they're performing, because it's very close and an absolute highlight.

This place gave me absolute peace! It was quiet, close enough to restaurants to cater to any palate, and the views are incredible! The place is super comfortable and very, very clean!
Walking throughout the various paths was an enjoyable moment.
The accommodation and service were excellent. The surroundings were quiet and peaceful, and the views from the chalet were beautiful. There were pleasant walks which provided an opportunity for game-spotting (zebra, blesbok, baboons, and monkeys, a porcupine, etc.). We also made use of the pool (very well maintained) and the games room. There are some things that need attention: 1. The inside mats at the entrances are very slippery and this could be dangerous for people who are fragile or who have been injured in some way. The mats need a non-slip backing. 2. In the shared bathroom, there is a leak between the shower curb and the bathroom floor on the side near the toilet. This gets a bit smelly and needs the attention of a plumber. 3. A non-slip shower mat in the shared bathroom would be a welcome addition.
Staff were excellent. Had an issue with the fireplace and it was sorted out the next morning. Great views at Dawn and Sunset. We will definitely be back.
It is located quite far, so it is recommended if you visit The Bell, do not stay less than 2 nights, we were only there for 1 night, very nice, but would have liked to stay longer.
The level of comfort and beauty in this accommodation surprised us. We had everything we needed even during loadshedding. Would recommend this stay to everyone we know. Thank you for the beautiful memories.
Very nice and comfortable. However, master bedroom only has regular double bed which is old and worn out, not a queen size as advertised. Otherwise everything perfect!
It's one of the most beautiful places I've stayed in in the Drakensberg. It's perfectly located, the view is picturesque. It's an absolutely fantastic place. I would definitely stay there again!
The Bell is a beautiful and quaint little cottage set in the picturesque Drakensberg Mountains. The air is so clean and refreshing. The cottage itself is homey, neat and tidy. Absolutely enjoyed the scenery and the Falcons swooping through the air was wonderful. Being so close to these magnificent creatures was a real treat.

There is a lot to do and we had a good rest. Cottage very luxurious, towels changed every day and service comes. Amazing hiking trails and horseback riding. Thank you. One word: awesome and recommendable to anyone. There is enough space and a spacious house. We never felt in each other's way. Ice machine a plus. Wood available.
We had such, such a nice stay at The Bell. The chalet is very private, spacious, tidy and well equipped with the most beautiful view of the mountain and valley. The horses, zebras and colt geese provided a lot of entertainment and the wolves also came to make their turn in the sky every day with their graceful flight. We had a hard time leaving and would love to stay here permanently. Will definitely stay here again!
Right place to break away from every day's rush. The house is very private and fully equipped. Lovely mountain view.
Fernwood Lodge is a resort in the Champagne Valley that probably has the best location in terms of the mountain. The view of the surroundings from the house is breathtaking and all the seasons can be experienced in one day. The Bell is modern and comfortably equipped with everything one might need. It is the ideal place to rest blissfully or be very active.
Comfortable three bedroom house with two bathrooms. Breathtaking view of the peaks. Next to Falcon Ridge which is a must visit for their falconry display. Great walking on Fernwood's extensive grounds and also mountain paths from Monk's Cowl caravan park. All that was missing in the kitchen was a roasting pan, but otherwise we had everything we needed.

Even though I was just there on business, Fernwood will make the ideal base for a family holiday to the berg as it is perfectly situated and the accommodations is superb.
