We stayed in the Sparrows Nest and Eagles Nest rooms. Both rooms were comfortable and clean. Eagles Nest is a huge room with a sitting area. The shower in the Sparrows Nest is a problem due to low water pressure and the drainage is inadequate (even for the low water pressure). There were issues which hopefully are attended to for an improved stay. The host was very responsive, which is always helpful. The location is centrally located and is quiet and peaceful, tucked away in the suburb.
My stay at The Crooked Forest was amazing. It was so peaceful and quiet. No interruptions. You are welcomed with open arms. The service was polite, warm and nurturing.

I will only leave an extra light in the room for guests in case of a power outage. It was pitch dark when we got there on Friday night and there was loadshedding.

Our room was neat and clean. The only problem we had was TV. I think it will be nice if they install DStv and the Wi-Fi was also off rather than we enjoyed.
It's a really nice place and will definitely stay there again. The WiFi was unavailable during load shedding. Maybe get a UPS for the WiFi router.
Shower's water not 100% right. Either too hot or too cold, but managed.
Very peaceful place, welcoming staff, place not far from the mall, Pretoria is very hot but because of many trees we didn't even feel the heat, and you get an update of load shedding via WhatsApp every day and it's accurate.
Michaela was a great host. Even if we encountered a problem with the wifi or TV, she was always available to fix the problem. We also got updates on load shedding schedules.
Spa room has no privacy. Toilet wall not to ceiling. No backup lights etc. during loadshedding. Wifi and TV signal not reliable. Can't reach the spa bath taps! No mirror in toilet above basin. Toilet light facing the door at low level which is very impractical and irritating for someone in bed when toilet is used at night. Light should be on side wall or ceiling.
We went just to rest, and that's what we did. Quiet and peaceful.

Michelle received us very kindly. The garden creates the atmosphere of a forest with beautiful tall trees that surrounded our place of residence. Eagle's Nest is very private and we were able to relax wonderfully. It is also located in a very quiet neighborhood. There is a beautiful, sparkling blue pool to cool off in. Our place to stay was spotless with everything you could need. There is a fridge, kettle with coffee, tea, sugar, milk, crockery, cutlery, toaster, free Wi Fi and a TV with Netflix. We slept great on the bed and there are also 2 very comfortable chairs to relax in. It is very close to Wonderboom Junction, as well as Kollonade shopping centres. We will definitely visit here again.

I've booked the place for a long weekend just to rest and I was looking forward to a nice, quiet weekend. I was happy with my choice, because it has offered me just want I wanted, it was also clean and the owner was nice and welcoming. Looking forward to go back again.

Great. This was the best place to recommend to anyone. We had our car serviced and all the car dealerships were about a 3 block walk away. Wonder Waters is a stone's throw from there. We will definitely book there again.

Was a lovely, safe and very comfortable accommodation and I would recommend them to anyone who needs to stay overnight in that part of Pretoria. Very centrally located and in a very quiet area.

It would be much better for a business trip like I did if there would be something like a desk or larger table with a wall plug where a laptop could be plugged in. At least Crooked Forest provided a long "lead"! Wi-Fi reception was also not very good.
The beds need to be replaced especially that in the Owl's room it makes noises when you sit on it and the mattress is uncomfortable and the bathroom is smaller than I realized. It rained and there was a leak on the ceiling and the Owl room smelled moldy, the ceiling needs replacing and I'm not sure if cleaning is lacking because I saw old spiderwebs in the bathroom. The pool could also do with a bit of cleaning. The place is nice and quiet. They have dogs and cats, very quiet pets and you never come across them no worries if you are afraid of dogs. The rooms have privacy, they are medium sized, only the Owl's room has a stove. We love tea and were happy to see we got a lot of teabags in our respective rooms. The place is nice I would go back if there above issues were to be fixed. And they have Netflix, Showmax, Amazon prime Bonus.

Lovely owner, she helped me when my personal HDMI cable wasn't working for my laptop by lending me one of hers - she was very accommodating. I also liked the privacy I had walking to my car and back. I stayed in The Owl's Nest. In my room the Wi-Fi didn't work too well on the bed, so you need to sit by the coffee table near the door. I would probably return if it weren't for the incredibly weak hot water pressure. Showers were really terrible and it was my main cause of unhappiness. The walls were also very thin to the room next door (if you know what I mean). Some of the given dishes were not properly cleaned. When there are similar prices of guesthouses nearby that offer breakfast as well, it's just hard to recommend. Then again, I only stayed in The Owls Nest, so I'm not sure what the other rooms are like.
The service rendered there was accurate and the safety as well.

This is the ideal place for accommodation in Pretoria North. It is clean, tidy and very comfortably equipped and located in a safe area. We could only arrive at 21:00, but the hostess was very friendly and accommodated us by waiting for us. Guests are provided with a remote control for the gate, which facilitates access to the apartment and parking. There is a table where someone can sit and work comfortably, as well as WiFi access.
Recommend the place. We were welcomed very kindly. Although it was a cold day, we slept nice and warm with the nice warm blankets. Place is very neat and the people are very friendly. Thank you very much.
My wife and I really enjoyed the stay even though we don't get to do it often. The only bad thing I would say is that there was no stove so I could make some breakfast for my wife in bed. But made other plans for that.
The owner is friendly and helpful. The accommodation's yard is beautiful, with large trees. There is secure parking. The apartment itself is comfortable with everything one needs, and although there is another apartment next door, it is designed in such a way that one hears the minimum sound from the apartment next door. There are burglar bars in front of the windows, free WiFi, and a remote and key system that allows you to go in and out of the gate as you like, and to be able to leave early, without having to bother the owner. The apartment is in a quiet area, but still close enough to the main roads that one can easily access them.

My wife and I stayed there for 2 weeks and we were pleasantly surprised with the place. The tranquility is soul-invigorating. In the morning you can sit and listen to the birdsong. At night you hear the crickets. Although quite close to the road, one does not hear any vehicles. The trees in the yard make it really feel like you are in the forest. The hostess received us so kindly after the long way we had driven. Any queries we had, she helped us with to the best of her ability. It is clean and tidy. Great space. Closets have more than enough space for clothes. We would go back to Crooked Forest anytime.
