There were two of us and we had a second bedroom and living room at our disposal. The two plate stove is sufficient for two people. Convenient front-door under shade net parking behind an automatic car gate.

Elaine is amazing. Rooms have everything needed and more. Everything from linen to amenities is top quality. Breakfast was excellent. Pool and lounge area are lovely and comfortable. It was a nice family visit. Highly recommended.
The reception was cordial and warm. The house very neat and clean and our Host and Hostess were super. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. The Garden is beautiful and a real loop court. The breakfast was good. Will definitely stay there again.

There is not much to choose from in Lutzville, generally I prefer not to stay in people's house, however the owners were very friendly and accommodating, breakfast was good. Close to Namakwa Sands, so an easy stay overall.

Debbie and Jan, the hosts of The Golden Grape, made us welcome the moment we arrived. Our room with en-suite bathroom was large. comfortable and airy. The queen bed divine - comfort is very important. We prearranged to eat supper there the first night and enjoyed a typical boerekos meal. Breakfasts are a big spread of cereals, fruit, jogurt, cold meats, cheese as well as your typical full boere breakfast with wors if you want. Noticing I had a penchant for cold pressed tongue and plain jogurt, Debbie made sure to have it on the table every day. We were also fortunate to be in town for the annual church bazaar and enjoyed the festive meal on the Friday night and the bazaar on Saturday, by which time locals knew us as the guests at Golden Grape. We would definitely stay again if we come that way. It's about 30 km from the sea, but with the cooler temperatures at the sea due to the heavy mist, Lutzville is a sensible destination. The Golden Grape has a large and inviting pool that you can swim in all day, in summer.
The Golden Grape is of excellent quality and the service is excellent. Debbie and team are top notch and very hospitable. The rooms are exceptionally neat and comfortable. It's a place that my wife and I can and will recommend to anyone. Very good value for money.

We wanted to stay in Nieuwoudville for the unsurpassed flowers there in the village and in the reserves. It is definitely the peaceful safe paradise of Namaqualand. We were happy to find a place in nearby Lutzville and the owner couple were extremely friendly and made special vegetarian dishes for us. Delicious breakfast but they asked us extra. We slept the 2nd night in Vredendal in a wonderful guest house with a delicious big breakfast for the same price.
Facilities, customer service, cleanliness and hospitality of owners and staff were of a high standard. I would recommend Golden Grape anytime.
I never met the host. He phoned me after 19h00 to inform me that there's a problem with the electrical points in die guest house and that he will sort it out within 60 to 90 minutes. It never happened and I haven't received any feedback from him ever since. As a result, I couldn't use any of the advertised facilities (DStv, Wi-Fi, fridge, kettle) and couldn't charge my cellphone, tablet or camera - which was terribly inconvenient given that I was there during flower season tour and relied on charging it at night. The braai area was also very close to my room and other guests that made use of it were disruptive.
The Golden Grape was absolutely fantastic. We were kindly received and the guest room was neat, clean and spacious. The location was such that we could drive around and visit places that were on our itinerary.
We had a great stay, the house was like our own.

We stayed in Lutzville because we had to (family get-together). The accommodation was pleasant, felt like home. Would recommend it to anyone.
Quiet and peaceful. Host welcomed us and was friendly.
Very clean and tidy place, equipped with everything you need. A peaceful atmosphere is created by the decor and friendly people, upon arrival and during the stay. Service is really top standard. Can definitely recommend the place for a weekend getaway or longer.
Only one night, but is was comfortable, well appointed and the hosts are very hospitable.
