43 guests' feedbackAwesome place and awesome owners who do everything to make you feel good and happy. Your room is your own cottage with a splendid view from the hill over the surrounding landscape. If you prefer to eat the meals at the lodge, we had breakfast and dinner; they prepare a good breakfast as you like and a very good dinner. I'll say: don't look any further if you search for a (longer) stay in this part of the Northern Cape!

Dinner and breakfast was prepared by the owner-manager, who was a professional chef. It was delicious. Overlook is located on a ridge above the Orange River, away from traffic. The view is wonderful. I will recommend Overlook to anyone who wishes to stay over in Kakamas, Keimoes or Upington area.
The only minor problem is vehicles sound that is audible.

Keimoes is a welcome oasis at the end of a very long and hot drive from the Western Cape. We were treated to a room upgrade, which was very kind.

We spent one night at The Overlook en route to the Kgalagadi. We towed our Boswa which we were able to park next to the Chalet. Everything was clean and tidy. I was able to barbecue in the evening and the breakfast was good. The view over the vineyards is beautiful.
Furniture not good. Dish towels bad. Don't like all the skins and skin cushions. A skin on the floor as a carpet can still work but not pillows. Had to ask for dish soap.
Eric and Anna's hospitality is evident from the start, nothing was too much trouble. The beautiful cool pool and view is a plus. Thank you Eric for the outstanding dinner it was fantastic. Will definitely recommend you and we will see you again!

We were in the family unit which is part of the main house. We didn't get much sleep as the TV or radio was on all night in the main house. Beautiful view, air cooling on a hot day. Clean, neat. On the way from Kgalagadi to Cape Town, The Overlook is a very convenient stopover. We were kindly met by Anna. Eric currently in America. Beautiful view from the very well equipped and neat chalets over the vineyards. Very secure parking behind a locked gate. It was a pity to stay only the one night.

We enjoyed the stay at The Overlook. Many African people use Lekkeslaap.co.za, and it was negative that the 144 channel was not available on their DSTV package. We recommended it to the owner.
