Amazing hotel with best atmosphere. Overnight for wedding, was the best choice.
Wonderful location and excellent service make the Royal Hotel a delightful destination. The King-suites are excellently equipped and for sure a wonderful stay.
Have enjoyed previous stays at the Royal Hotel too. Love it. I understand that with Covid money must be short, and hence it is tough to keep up with the maintenance, but please be careful as the standard is slipping, and it is looking a little worn and neglected in several places. One can't stay high end, if you let the details slip and start looking tatty. Customer service is still good though and one feels very welcomed.
Great location and good facilites.
Everything had been good. There was just a bit of noise around us, but I think it's because the rooms have doors (garden rooms) that go to the next one. My platter which I ordered for 14:00 on arrival did not come to the room until 16:30, after I had to call again for it. The breakfast was very nice in the morning.
Hotel maintenance is poor. Especially the gardens are really neglected. Poor impression.
Room service/cleaning was a bit disappointing.
Riebeeck Kasteel was a lovely surprise for us. It is a nice clean country town with lots to enjoy and nice people. The Royal Hotel's accommodation was beautiful and comfortable and their breakfast delicious! This is an exceptionally characterful hotel.
This was a surprise for our wives - they loved the hotel. Breakfast was a good place to start our day. Beds comfortable and rooms clean. Staff friendly and helpful.
Gin is a special specialty at the bar. Fires in fireplaces in the bar and lounge welcome guests and create a pleasant atmosphere.
It was a lovely evening with our children before the Spring Festival marathon. The stay was off the books but the people made it an unforgettable experience.
