Beautiful beautiful garden, lovely cool room which helps a lot when it's 38 degrees outside. There was a double booking when we arrived but luckily I had proof on WhatsApp to confirm our booking. No other problems. Wonderful experience.
Great stay, just needs a bit of attention to detail. Lighting is very poor, no Rooibos tea, and no milk. I understand it is self-catering, but the basic supplies are standard.

We had a great family outing with 3 generations under one roof. It was a bitterly cold weekend, but the crackling fire in the ceramic firepot in the living room was so cozy and warm. There is a beautiful firepit outside as well. Nice thick feather duvets ensured a warm sleep! A truly beautiful old house with more than enough sleeping space for everyone. Separate bathrooms also make it very convenient for a large family.
The lockable garage is a big plus.
It is a comfortable large house, 4 bedrooms with double beds and 1 room with a single bed and cot. Two bedrooms are outside, very secure. Everything is very nicely furnished, everything you need for an overnight stay is there.

Very nicely equipped, clean, delicious Karoo atmosphere, very cute hostess, everything well organized from the hostess's side! Secure lock-up garage so car is safe overnight.
The house is large and tidy, with a large garden with many birds. It has an atmosphere that makes you nostalgic and you just want to stay there where time stands still and life still has value. The house is clean and tidy and has great sleeping facilities with air conditioners. Words just don't do it justice, you have to experience it.

We had a wonderful stay in this house. What a pleasant surprise. We loved the house, the garden, the space, the beds were comfortable. We loved to have our breakfast in the garden at the comfortable chairs, enjoying the sun and the garden. We also enjoyed the evenings around the fire. Restaurants are really close. We absolutely hope to come again. Very safe and clean and comfortable.
The Townhouse is centrally located so you can explore the town on foot. We had a very nice stay. Communication with the owner was also good.
This old house in the historic town of Graaff-Reinet gives a genuine and pleasant "old-fashioned charm" feeling. The lock up garage is weird, but very welcome! The house is centrally located in a quiet environment, with convenient braai and other facilities for being outdoors on the large grounds.

I stayed in The Townhouse for 2 nights and I loved the house. It's close to the centre and all the shops and restaurants. Nilene was lovely and even came to meet me and ask if everything was alright. I really enjoyed sitting outside. When the garden is finished I bet it will look amazing!

The Townhouse is ideal located in Graaf-Reinet close to most amenities. Bedrooms were good, kitchen and shower not up to standard.

Loved The Townhouse! Loved the town! I totally recommend this lovely house and will definitely stay there again.
While we enjoyed our stay here I would say it is rustic. The garden is unfinished as is stated on the website and building is in progress - this makes it a bit of a danger for a toddler and animals as there are loose objects lying around. We had two cars and a trailer and were a bit concerned about the safety of off street parking. All turned out well though and I am sure when the renovations are complete we will visit again.
Kitchen was not well equipped. There was e.g. not even a grater or ladles. It is good enough for coffee, tea and breakfast, but not if you want to prepare and serve meals yourself. Otherwise it's a lovely place.
Will be recommending the place to family and friends.

The house will only be serviced for stays longer than 2 nights. Linen is changed every 3 nights.Children aged between 0 and 12 pay 100% of the sliding scale rate.
