The Treehouse is set in safe and secure surroundings. It is fully walled and features electronic gates as well as ample parking.
The unit can accommodate up to 8 persons in comfort, offering a choice of 3 en-suite bedrooms with ceiling fans, all on the upper level of the house. The first 2 bedrooms have double beds and stunning sea views while the third bedroom has a double bed and a bunk bed set. Linen is provided, however, guests are required to bring their own towels. On the same level, there is a deck with braai area, enclosed verandah, and bar area with panoramic sea views.
The kitchen is fully equipped, with appliances that include a fridge-freezer, hob, split-level oven, microwave, crockery and cutlery. The huge lounge and dining area are snuggled around a yellowwood tree which supports the roof structure. There is a large TV set with a DStv connection point in the lounge. Guests are required to bring their own decoder and smart card for DStv viewing.
The local beach is an 8-minute walk away, without having to cross any major roads or railway lines. It is very popular with fisherman. The ever-popular Banana Beach and Umzumbe Beach, complete with tidal/rock pools, shark nets, lifeguards and restaurants are within a 2-minute drive. Hibberdene, with its Blue Flag status and beach entertainment during the holiday season, is a 5-minute drive away.
Activities abound along the coast include fishing, surfing, scuba diving, boat rides, biking trails and hiking and, last but not least, a number of excellent golf courses. For the more adventurous, there are many adrenaline-inducing diversions within a 40-minute drive. Oribi Gorge offers a wild-gorge swing, wild slide, white-water rafting, abseiling and horse riding. Next to Oribi Gorge is Lake Eland Game Reserve and within a 45minute drive down the coast is the Wild Coast Casino.
This all makes for the perfect holiday getaway for larger families or groups of friends.

1 guests' feedbackThe house is beautifully situated and has a beautiful view of the sea. The problem is that there aren't even 6 crockery items for a place that can accommodate 8, let alone 5 or less. Cutlery also only for 6. Pots in reasonable condition, but no pan for breakfast preparation. The oven is in a terrible condition and was very dirty. Couldn't and didn't want to use it at all. The microwave has also seen better days. The wiring in the house is not safe and many lights are diverted from ordinary power plugs and also without a ground wire which can be life threatening. The braai facilities are substandard and not nearly big enough to braai for 8 adults. The grill was very dirty and worn. I went and bought another grill myself, as I wouldn't dare use the one provided. It is also not safe to make a fire where the braai is located, on top of a wooden deck which can create a fire hazard. There are no extra blankets in the house, only a duvet on each bed. Luckily it was quite warm during the time we were there. At least the linen was neat and clean. Parking is an issue as there is another tenant using the garages, we did know this in advance. We were told not to park in front of the garages and were assigned a specific spot which we then occupied. What we didn't know is that there is another permanent tenant on the premises who usually parks where we parked our two cars at the time. In short, there is no room for more than one car. In conclusion, I believe that the place has a lot of potential, but that maintenance needs to be done and also what is available according to the website will be there and in an acceptable condition. The reason I'm giving feedback is because I'm the one who paid for the accommodation. Only additional costs were that we had to pay R300 for cleaning the place after we left. I believe this is standard, but am disappointed that it was not done properly after the previous guests left.
