Our stay was what we expected: peaceful, relaxing and serene. The lodge is near the main road (N1), making it accessible and convenient for drivers in sedans.

Our stay was fine. I was just disappointed when I was offered a cottage I didn’t book. I was given lame reasons for not getting the cottage I had booked, only to find that it was given away to other guests.

We had a great night's sleep at Ultimate Lodge. I would just like to see provision made for load shedding. Maybe solar lights in the paths or something. We had a little trouble finding our cottage in the dark when we got back that evening. Furthermore, the service was friendly and it is very beautiful between the mountains. I wish we could stay longer.

Comfortable, and clean. Well located, but needs attention. The Lodges are a few years old and some of the facilities need attention. In our room, the sink faucet in one bathroom is broken. The shower door opens to the inside of the shower and it is impossible for someone who is a little big to climb in there and then close the shower door.

We really enjoyed it, wanted to be peaceful and quiet and the Guest Room was perfect for that. Have the most delicious menu that you can order from and serve them at your accommodation if you don't feel like going to a restaurant. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful place and enough distraction for a wonderful break from the everyday. Have recommended it to many friends and will definitely go again!
The reception was very friendly. The place was really very clean and tidy and we stayed there in peace. The natural beauty is of course something special there with the view on the mountain. Really enjoyed the night we slept there.

Very nice stay and the facilities were fantastic! I could experience tranquility even if it was for a business trip! The food is particularly tasty and their restaurant service was very convenient. The arrival of signing in was not pleasant. We were not greeted and just shown where our room was with the key. We had to find out for ourselves where everything was and all the facilities that could be used.

A lovely place to relax between the mountains! Dinner was great, even though we couldn't braai. The continental breakfast wasn't too good. The kids enjoyed playing with the dogs and putt-putt.

The accommodation was clean and tidy. Quiet environment. And the children enjoyed the animals. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very nice in a peaceful atmosphere.
We were only there for one night, but the people are beyond friendly, the cottages are well furnished, very neat and clean. We will definitely go again and definitely this time for a long weekend to fully enjoy the place.
All that was bad was that you have to walk to the restaurant, past the bar with children and that they still allow smoking there. The smell is unbearable and it is located at the restaurant. The smokers also use the stoep, so we couldn't stand on the stoep either. We had our meals delivered to the room.
Tarentaal Cottage (not really a cottage, it was attached to three other cottages, more a like a complex) was lovely to stay at. A bit lived in, but sparkling clean and very comfortable. Even two-ply toiletpapier. Lovely view and walking routes. The children loved the animals. The only problem was that the launderer was against the veranda. We had to listen to the washing machine and the tumble dryer the whole time. Although for this price, you will struggle to find a better place than The Ultimate Guesthouse for 5 people. Putt-putt at R25 per person, is a bit ridiculous.
Friendly welcome and the room was neat and clean. The area is beautiful ─ especially the view of the mountains. Our dinner was disappointing. Waited for over an hour and the food was dry and very tasteless.

My daughter, 4 grand children and I spent 2 nights there and my grand daughter liked the bunnies, donkeys and other animals. She had conversations with them and fed them. The boys enjoyed themselves playing putt-putt, cycling, playing ball, swimming and just enjoyed themselves. I had rest for my soul for a short while from the eternal money power that swallows everybody and just gets worse and worse. Everybody chases money and forget about those who are hungry and thirsty. I thank you from my heart that I was able to spend 3 days and 2 nights there. We are back in reality now. Keep the place as beautiful as it is please.

Each unit features an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, a TV with selected DStv, a fridge, Wi-Fi and tea- and coffee-making facilities. We have a camping area for 4x4’s, caravans and tents with full ablutions, private braai facilities and power points.
Guests have access to laundry facilities, braai facilities, room service and secure parking 2 lapa’s for small intimate parties around our swimming pool, a boma, a 9 hole Putt-Putt course and a play park for the toddlers, pool table and darts.
The Ultimate Lodge is situated on 23 hectares and the Bluegumsport Road is a safe, quiet and ideal place for mountain biking, long walks or jogs. We have a function room where we can accommodate up to 100 guests, for small weddings, conferences, workshops and team buildings.
