The Vale Karoo Farm

The farm offers a variety of accommodation facilities and, after a long day’s fun in the sun or long travelling between Johannesburg and Cape Town, you can experience a good night’s rest that fit your pocket and expectation.
The lodge, expertly renovated from an old farmhouse from the 1880’s to a luxury, highly comfortable guest lodge, has 5 exceptionally appointed en-suite rooms. There are 8 twin stone cottages, each with its own en-suite bathroom and kitchenette, and 4 family cottages with 2 bedrooms and a kitchenette. The outdoor adventurer can park a caravan or 4×4 next to these stone cottages with its own braai area.
A beautifully converted old, stone farm shed has become the Hunters’ Lodge. Here you can stay in the comfort of the very affordable self-catering facility that can accommodate the whole family and even your friends. It is perfect for larger groups of up to 12 people. Enjoy unforgettable evenings in the boma under the Karoo sky.
The establishment also offers conference facilities for groups up to 150 people. It is the ideal venue for team building in a quiet and peaceful environment. A braai under the Karoo sky will be the perfect end to a day of brainstorming. Catering options are available by arrangement.
The Vale Karoo Farm is situated 30 km east of Beaufort West on the N1 route between Cape Town and Johannesburg and is halfway between Bloemfontein and Cape Town, 500 km either way. A new and exciting addition to the farm is the development of a number of leisure activities and accommodation facilities to cater for every taste and need.

I booked at the last minute (the night before!) but the communication was immediate and effective. This is not the first time I have slept at The Vale Karoo Farm, so I knew what to expect, and once again it did not disappoint. I specifically booked a self-catering cottage with two rooms, but when we checked in we were assigned to a double-room cottage. However, this was immediately rectified when I asked for a two-bedroom unit. The braai packets were exceptionally tasty. Two mutton chops and two pieces of sausage per person which are very nicely salted. The fries and potato salad we ordered were also excellent. Wood and firelighters we bought were enough. It was just a nice evening in the Karoo with a beautiful sunset, a big fire, nice lamb chops with side dishes, and brandy. What better could one want!
Very nice overnight, thank you. Dinner was tasty.
We had a lovely peaceful afternoon. There is a lovely pond to swim in. The reception has basic sweets / soft drinks which are cute. There was also a drinks menu in the room for the festive season - we ordered nice cocktails that were brought to our room! The braai buns we ordered with our braai meat were delicious! We will definitely stop here again!
Loved it. Pity it rained in the evening. Didn't see the Karoo night sky. 9.
It was much more beautiful than we expected. We like the old nostalgia with the finely set tables. The dinner and breakfast were top notch. We come again.
Most pleasant stay. Warm and cosy despite cold weather.
Loved it. Would recommend some place to sit. The cottage room is quite small. There is no comfortable seating at the cottage other than in your bed or at the restaurant.
The communication prior to the stay was excellent, as was the service during the stay. The food was as preordered and very good.
The "honeymoon suite's" mattress is fluffy. No trash in the room. Please enlarge the shower! No bill was received for the extras, only told what the amount was. The "tiebacks" at the curtains are very loose.
Had a great time and staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely highly recommend.
Enjoy the peaceful scenery in the Karoo.
We had a very nice stay.
Clean and tidy accommodation. Warm welcome on arrival. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Super easy to find, friendly staff, excellent food. Superb location.
We really enjoyed it, and especially that our two dogs could come and be there together.
Great, clean and calm. It was very good for the soul. Really worth sleeping over. Thank you very much for your friendly service and hospitality.
Welcome rest after a long journey. Gardens are beautiful and buildings neat and clean.
We spent a lovely evening on the farm, it was very peaceful and the scenery was beautiful, thank you very much.
No mirror in the master bedroom.
Quiet with a helpful hostess.
Vale Karoo is a lovely stopover between Bloemfontein and Cape Town.
We have never experienced such a dirty bathroom. I cleaned the sink myself and there was no way we could face such a filthy dirty shower. I also passed that on to the office staff when we left.
Ideal stopover from Gauteng to Cape Town.
Friendly reception and nice stay, and useful dinner.
I would certainly recommend The Vale Karoo Farm to people who want to shorten the long journey to the Cape and back and want to relax and rest in the peaceful silence of the Karoo. Food was excellent and service was great.
Location is fantastic (travel from Gauteng to Cape). The room has everything you need for a comfortable braai, and there was provision for loadshedding. Beds were comfortable and there was a fan for the heat and Doom for any insects. Reception was prompt and we were welcomed very peacefully. Great!
Go to sleep over there!
Very nice dinner and breakfast and friendly staff. Braaipak also very tasty Karoolam.
I was assured on arrival that all workers were vaccinated, apart from that the accommodation was to be recommended, the food was delicious and my big dog was safe and well received. Good farm hospitality too.
Great people, food was excellent and place was lovely.
We had a great time at this peaceful farm. The people are very friendly and the food is excellent. Thank you very much.
Found the meals a bit on the expensive side and the rooms lacked sufficent fresh air (claustrophobic).
Has everything you need to be comfortable. Receptionist is a lovely young lady who was super friendly, helpful and informative.
The ceilings can be redone to be more soundproof so you can't hear the other people in other part of the lodge, stone house.

The room was just cramped and hot, with no air conditioning and only one window.
Close enough to turn off the main road and pull over and far enough not to hear road noise! The dinner and breakfast were top notch. The accommodation itself is in need of some attention, particularly regarding the cleanliness of the dishes, kettle, plugs, floors and light switches. Nothing a little elbow grease can't fix.
Would recommend for overnight stay. Rooms maybe a little small for longer stays.
We chose The Vale Karoo Farm as our overnight destination for our trip to Cape Town. Well located and easy to find, we would stay here again.
Very dark in room. Use stronger bulbs. Dinner was delicious! Self care very clever, can hardly move.
There is no carport or WiFi (if there was they didn't share it with us), they don't explain that there is another bedroom for 4 in the same unit that you share with another family. The common kitchen and living area is against the bedroom door and the kitchen plus the living area is only big enough for one family to use, the other family has to wait in the room until you finish. One of the mattresses was slept through and one of the bedside lamps didn't work, when I touched the bedside lamp's cable I was almost shocked to death because the cable against the wall plug is an open live wire (unbelievably big risk for children!). The blinds are made of straps and there are no curtains so the light shining on the cars outside the window shines directly into the room. There is also no air conditioning and you can't open the window because of all the insects flying around the light right above your head. Also stay away from the dinner that can be booked in advance, way too expensive for what you get, ice cold and the microwave is stone cold, has no glass plate in it plus it takes about 15 min to heat one plate of food. What a mess!
From the moment we arrived until we left we had a amazing experience. Special shoutout to your frienly pub staff who ensured we were well taken care of. We will return.
Everything was in order and in place and clean when we got there.
Very beautiful green oasis in the Karoo. Rooms very comfortable although a little neat for a self-catering unit. Enjoy a delicious plate of real farm food in the restaurant with mutton and vegetables. Good overnight stop on the way to the Cape.
Very nice stay, good food and friendly staff.
The freshly baked scones and farm bread with the breakfast is a winner. Thanks to the kitchen team!
We received excellent service from Lohan and his staff.
Absolutely breathtaking. Every time I marvel at the stars with the silence of the Karoo around me.
From the moment we inquired about staying at Vale Karoo Farm, through the entire quote and communication process to the moment we left, the service provided by Simoné (manager of Vale Karoo Farm) was absolutely outstanding. She is truly a positive addition to this excellent accommodation. Her friendliness and quick and efficient communication made the experience a pleasure. The accommodation is beyond expectation and extremely neat and fully prepared. The braai packs with wood and fire lighters rounded it off even more. What a fantastic experience and we would recommend Vale Karoo Farm anytime and even visit again.
Had no problems with our overnight stop at The Vale. The location is convenient if you drive between Gauteng and the Cape, the staff were friendly and the room tidy.
Our room was basic but very comfortable and restaurant food was excellent.
Was the perfect overnight stop. Will definitely stay there again.
Nice dinner! Excellent service.
Food was delicious! Service was excellent.
The only criticism I have is that the kitchen facilities could have been better laid out. There is one wall plug that serves the fridge, frying pan and kettle and it is too far in the corner making it difficult to reach. The taps are very beautiful and rustic but completely impractical because they are not high enough and you struggle to fill the kettle. The boiler was also not working properly. Other than that it is a beautiful place and we were very satisfied.
Good facilities for overnight stay. The dinner is a must, real Karoo food, from the books! Do not miss it.
Would have loved to stay longer. Maybe a bit expensive for just an overnight stay, but otherwise great!
Very friendly welcome, good food. Good overnight destination on our trip to the Cape.
Will definitely go again if I need to sleep over. Breakfast at 7am was top quality.
The few hours of waiting from arrival to departure gives you the feeling as if for that short time you are the owner of a piece of Karoo land.. The quality of the meat and sausage in the braai package is also excellent.
The staff at The Vale is super friendly and helpful. Location is perfect and a haven just 800m away from the N1 highway, without even knowing it, a hidden treasure.
Wonderful tranquility of the Karoo. Enjoy the Karoo hospitality of Karoo people.
The hunting lodge setup didn't work for me. You can hear every word and movement in the other bedrooms, this is especially a problem if drunk people come in late. The roof in the room and living room was leaking. The Chalets might work better.
Braai was fantastically prepared. Have a great time and relax. Perfect overnight stop. Definitely sleep again after turning.
Nicely furnished and can buy everything right there.
Good as a place to stay. Nice braai and well equipped. Neat little lawn.
It's a very nice and practical location, but the beds need upgrading (they already bow downwards) and a real ceiling so that the neighbors' conversations can't carry over the partition wall - we heard them saying goodnight to each other at night and in the morning good morning Braai area and living area well suited for good weather, the kitchen does need a bin. Good lighting won't hurt either, it's quite dark with only bedside lamps as lighting. With the necessary upgrades we would love to stay here again.
Expected much more from the accommodation. Small fridge that does not have freezing facilities and does not cool efficiently either. Shower very small and can hardly move around.
Pool green and dirty. Rooms old and no WiFi.
We were very disappointed in the place. We bought everything from them for barbecue. After asking if there were covered barbecue facilities, I was assured that if it ever rained, there would only be thunderstorms. Everything rained out. We also had to fry the meat on a frying pan which was very old and did not work properly. No other option or help was offered.
Everything was beautiful and clean, our food was ready, we could just grill ourselves, delicious!
Friendly staff, beautiful setting and lovely food. Perfect place to stay en route to Cape Town.
Neat, clean and great hospitality! Delicious food! Perfect overnight accommodation! And even visit for a weekend.
See stars.
Very friendly and helpful.
Very cute place to stay! Thank you very much for your hospitality with especially the already prepared meals! Your potato salad is definitely the best!
Very friendly welcome.

Very comfortable, cool and very beautiful stone houses nestled between karee trees. Simoné spoiled us with a generous and very tasty farm dinner. Breakfast was offered in the beautiful, very nicely furnished homestead. We would definitely stay here again.
Perfectly located for an overnight stop. Friendly service, neat accommodation. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Good value for money.
Very nice place to stop over on the long way to the Cape. Safe, tidy and professional. Very nice and well furnished. Very nice stay.
Pleasant stop on the way to the Cape.
We took a barbecue pack with salads for dinner. The salads were fragrantly prepared and finger licking good. We will definitely stay overnight at The Vale Karoo Farm again in the future - or even stay for a few days.
No visit in the Karoo is without its challenges but the staff communicated well and accommodated us as needed. Simone was kind enough to give us an extra room at no additional cost, seeing as we were 4 adults and 2 children.
Cutlery was dirty and full of grease from previous user. Braai packs very expensively priced. Had to pay for firewood and firelighters. Why not included in the price of barbecue packages? Dinner in a restaurant and breakfast were considered, but not done because price. Bathroom in house 11 is very small and uncomfortable. I believe that the owner himself should spend the night in his own units to identify shortcomings. We have been traveling along the route to Sedgefield for the past 20 years and it was the first time at The Vale Karoo. Will prefer to spend the night in another place next year.
Such a beautiful location but the cottages are cramped and impractical. No air conditioning and it's very hot in the units. The sinks are beautiful but impractical. The reception was tight. The pond is dirty and cannot be swum in. The bar fridge not up to standard. No cushions for the seats outside. The small shop has almost nothing in it and the next town is around 30 km away. The lighting in the units is very poor. Such a nice location but expected much more.
Stay away from the Hunters Lodge. Dark and creepy. Definitely not value for money. Spent the previous 2 nights on a farm in Oudshoorn. The same pays but 100% better. Will definitely not stay at The Vale again.
For what we paid, it was quite disappointing. There are 2 single beds in the small room which also serves as a kitchen/dining room, barely enough space to work or sit. Kitchen equipment was full of dust. Sink drain was blocked. Rest of the house terribly full of dust and bathroom not very clean either. No doormat meant we had to walk in the house with our muddy shoes while it rained. In general, the maintenance and cleaning of chalets needs more attention, in our opinion.
Genuine Karoo warmth and service. Will definitely stay there again.
Visit was satisfactory.
The staff accommodated our requests upon arrival, for which we are very grateful. The cooked dinner in the beautiful old farmhouse was fantastic. A good night's rest under the breathtaking Karoo sky. We hope and pray that the drought will break quickly.
The hunting lodge's basic facilities are neat and offer value for money. You have your own gecko that comes out of the reed ceiling every now and then to check if everything is still okay!
The food was incredible! The restaurant neat and quiet. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Will book a family house next time, the rooms for 2 were "hunters" cottages, warm and small.
Too primitive - would like roof sealed. Location of cottage makes house terribly warm inside. Room a bit cramped. Lighting in bathroom very poor.
We will stay there again. Highly recommend the place.
Friendly reception, good food, but the heat due to the absence of air conditioning really spoiled our stay. Would not recommend to family and friends.
Always nice to split your trip in two and this is the best and most comfortable place to do it. Excellent service with easy quick check in and after a good braai and rest hit the road again.
We had a great time at the Vale Karoo. It's nice to stay at an animal-friendly establishment and the management doesn't make you feel like you're bringing dinosaurs/crocodiles/the plague with you. The friendly lady at reception went out of her way to make things convenient - meals/barbecue wood/other extras can easily be arranged by her. It's our new "half way stop" from now on!
Quiet environment. Cute little houses. Friendly staff. Will visit there again.
Will definitely stay here again in 2019. All our needs were met. Barbecue. Quiet and clean bedding.
Although we arrived late, they welcomed us with open arms. Our barbecue package with barbecue sandwiches and salad was waiting in our little house and we could just light a fire and barbecue. The cottage is fully equipped and we had no problems at all. Breakfast was fresh and of a high quality. Very good value for money. Would definitely recommend The Vale.
Had a great stay, beautiful venue!
We enjoyed it. It offers everything one needs in a beautiful and peaceful environment, and the barbecue was delicious.
Value for money. Clean and relaxing.
Some people have to stop looking for something to complain about. This is not a 5-star hotel and you're not paying for a 5-star hotel. Go and walk in the field, watch birds, go stargazing. Just breath. And stop complaining. Will definitely stay here again.
Good service and peaceful atmosphere. Hunters rooms are not soundproof at all - quite disturbing if other guests are not aware of it. Stayed in cottage last time - was lovely and peaceful.
Clean and comfortable accommodation in Karoo. A bit hot in the summer as no air conditioning in accommodation.
Lovely accommodation. Rooms neat, braai areas well planned and the farm dam was fantastic!
We stayed in a stone house. A little neat but very neat and well equipped kitchen nook. Each cottage has its own braai area and small lawn. Our dogs were with us, they just had to stay on their leashes, but there are many hiking trails. Cash bar and pre-booked food available.
Main building very impressive. Antiques really something to see. Breakfast was delicious and tasty.
Beautiful institution. Nice furniture. Nice meals. Will stay here again.
Perhaps they could include coffee, tea and milk in the rate?
Very friendly reception. Our house was very beautiful, clean and well equipped. Dinner was great. We slept well. Highly recommended.
The dinner was delicious and value for money. The accommodation was nothing special but suitable for just one night's sleepover.
We were very disappointed with the neatness of the house. The bedding was old and thin and we had lukewarm water to shower in evening and ice cold water the next morning. It was not a pleasant experience.
We traveled from Durban to Cape Town. The perfect place to sleep. We were a group of 12 - we could sleep in the Jagtershuis with our own braai facilities and a nice farm pond to swim in.
Would recommend The Vale anytime. Will even stay there for a few days. Calmness. 10 out of 10.
Very nice guest house with delicious meals. The horse riding in the Karoo was also spectacular and to be recommended. Great service.
Very friendly reception by the staff and the houses are spacious and equipped with everything you'd need. The rooms are nice and clean and beautifully decorated. It was cold when we got there, but inside the houses it was nice and snug!
Vale Karoo offers different types of accommodation and is extremely centrally located for travelers from Gauteng to Cape Town. Very pleasant and affordable meals are available and the reception is hospitable and friendly. Accommodation is extremely neat and the accommodation is conveniently close to the N1, yet so far that the traffic movement is not disturbing at all. On the farm there is also the opportunity to explore the wide Karoo space by walking or riding a mountain bike.
If we overnight again, we will stay here. DStv and an air conditioner would be nice, but it was great.
Better than expected! Have already recommended and will.
This is an oasis on the long N1. We traveled with our 11 month old son. The unit was nice and big. There are nice lawns and a place to have a cold beer after the long drive and our boy really enjoyed the big space in the hall to crawl around. Dinner is available on the farm. Will definitely stay there again.
Was satisfied with the rooms. Food was delicious! Service very well.
Only complaint, carpet races need to be replaced.
Friendly service. Had a nice swim in the farm pond. Feel free to get the braai packets with salad and braai buns. Had a delicious breakfast in the guest house the next morning. Will definitely stay there again.
We had a wonderful stay here. The house with one bedroom and five beds was small but neat and clean. We only stayed one night on our way to Cape Town from the North. It was perfect for us because our small children could ride a bike on the farm and stretch their legs.
See stars.
About safety. In the Karoo you probably don't need more security.
The Vale Karoo offers all the necessary facilities. However, be warned that the economy option is the Jagtershut which means sharing facilities with wild strangers. If privacy is important to you choose another option. The three-course meal is not necessarily suitable as one does not necessarily feel like a big meal after a long day on the road with snacks all the time. Alternative options with smaller and more affordable items are recommended for both dinner and breakfast.
Neat and beautiful accommodation with a lovely location. We also really enjoyed swimming in the farm dam. But the units were way too small and cramped. For a quick stopover and if you don't want to prepare meals yourself, this is sufficient. But we had a braai and the kitchenette is way too small and part of the bedroom. They don't have a sitting area or dining area which will be a problem if you have bad weather. The outside braai area isn't private.
Well located and tidy. Will stay over again.
See stars.
Beautiful place, beautiful surroundings, very good hospitality, nice breakfast.
We stayed there for 2 nights on our way to Pretoria. The staff were really helpful and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The meals were a bit expensive for what your get... For that price you expect more and the price shouldn't leave you hungry. If you're not planning to braai, then I'd recommend that you drive to Beaufort West and eat something there. The stone cottage in which we stayed was spotless and had all the facilities we needed. Our son loved the horses and the pony as well as the goats and the dam. The animals are care for and it was a pleasure to visit them everyday.
Quiet stopover - dinner was a bit expensive - no dessert!
Very nice place. The braai packs and "braaibroodjies" you can order are so nice too. Really enjoyed swimming in the farm dam. The room is a bit small if you try to fit a camping cot in.
The rooms in the main building offer no privacy at all and are noisy especially with dining rooms adjacent to rooms. For the price I would have liked breakfast included. Can also hear the trucks on the N1 through the night. Otherwise very neat and friendly service.
Have spent the night there on various occasions and would do so again!
Unbelievably beautiful and quiet - food for the soul!
There is a variety of accommodation options at Vale Karoo: lodge, stone cottages, Hunters Lodge etc. The location is central for travellers between the Cape and the Rand. Meals are excellent and especially the Karoo lamb that you can book ahead for dinner is a winner.
We had a wonderful overnight stay at The Vale. The manageress was absolutely awesome. She contacted us before arriving to confirm whether we wanted the braai option. Was friendly and very accommodating. The farm is absolutely beautiful and everything I hoped it would be. Thanks so much.
Excellent accommodation. Management is friendly and helpful and the units are clean and neat. I definitely recommend this place!
Neat houses, friendly staff, perfect for an overnight stay! They are child friendly. Most beautiful guest house and delicious food. Recommended!
Real value for money!
What a gem of a place with its tranquility, neat place to stay, green lawns, warm welcome and the MOST DELICIOUS chops, barbecue sandwiches and salad! We always have a great time here - thank you very much The Vale!
Great for kids, freedom for kids from city life. Will use again next year. Very expensive asked for barbecue sandwiches and salad.
Was kept up to date all the time, was reminded of our check-in dates and times, all queries were answered quickly. Friendly staff, the dinner served was excellent and the young lady who served us was courteous and efficient. Accommodation was clean and functional.
The service was absolutely wonderful. We received a phonecall to ascertain our estimated time of arrival and whether we would like dinner or a braai pack prepared. Very rustic and minimalistic but clean, comfortable beds, a fully equipped little kitchen and hospitality over an beyond what was expected. We were greeted by the friendly farm humans (smile) as well as some lovely, friendly farm animals. My next road trip down to Cape Town and back will definitely include an overnight stay at the Vale Karoo Farm.
Versatile overnight accommodation. Would have liked coffee in the room.
Staff were helpful and still accommodated us when we arrived late by serving us dinner. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay there again in the future.
Management went out of their way to accommodate us. They even made special arrangements for our food as we experienced problems on the road and arrived late.
The children immediately went to the turtles, horses, tame sheep and goats on our arrival and enjoyed it so much. The house was beautifully clean and we had a great time sitting outside and watching the clouds come up. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, I had a lot of meat and was able to store it in their freezer until the next morning. Would stay there again anytime.
Very nice place. Air conditioning and coffee/tea/milk/sugar would have been good. Especially since it's only for overnight. The cupboards above were thick with dust.
We had a nice stay and slept well. It was just damn hot and the cottages could do with better ventilation.
The accommodation is ideally located between Drie Susters and Beaufort West with friendly service and welcome. The cottage we stayed in was ideal and wonderfully equipped for self-catering. We would have loved to stay another day to see the rest of the game farm. Really value for money and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay overnight on their way to the Cape.
Had a great time! Everyone was very friendly.
Room a bit cramped. Breakfast expensive, but very tasty.
The staff changed my reservation. Caused a lot of inconvenience.
The Klipkothuisies are not spacious and please note that coffee, tea and sugar are not available in these units.
After a long way from Pretoria with many roadworks, we were very kindly received at The Vale Karoo, a real oasis. Later in the afternoon we had a wonderful time relaxing on the veranda with a strawberry cocktail in hand. Our place to stay for the evening was beautifully furnished with everything you need, crisp linen that makes you feel like you're sleeping on a cloud.
The Vale Karoo Farm is truly value for money. Don't miss the opportunity to spend the night here. All you'll regret is not staying longer!
Would recommend it anytime if people want to experience the Karoo a bit and enjoy the outdoors without being bothered by a hostess!
Fantastic! Will definitely go again!
The accommodation is very nice and tidy and also conveniently close to the town. However, I found it very small and cramped and it has no place to relax like a living room. It is more of a stopover.
This is a lovely oasis in the middle of nowhere - great service and stylish accommodation with an appreciation for finer detail...will definitely visit again.
Just the place to sleep over! We organized a braai at the chalet ahead of time. Meat, wood, salad and buns were neatly delivered to our chalet. Nice barbecue under the Karoo stars! The restaurant's food also looked very tasty. Also took mountain bikes and rode around the farm.
Ideal for a break on the way to the Cape... Close to N1. Cute self-catering units, well equipped! Friendly service, and clean and tidy! Will definitely stay there again.
Friendly farm hospitality. Very good value for money. Even our Yorkie was welcomed with open arms. Will definitely stay there again.
The stay was more comfortable than expected!
After a long journey through the Karoo, it was like an oasis. We were tired and hot, and had a great time relaxing. The barbecue under the pepper tree was a feast! The room was clean, tidy and just nice.
Very neat and comfortable. Everything was well organised.
Will visit the farm again!
We enjoyed our stay, and dinner was great.
The guesthouse room was excellent. Don't expect TVs; this place is exactly for people who want to get away from the city's busy life.
The rooms were clean, check in and out quick, the staff were friendly and the farm house breakfast superb. I'll definitely stay at this place again.

Description
The Honeymoon Suite has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom that is fitted with a bath and shower. In-room amenities include a bar fridge and tea- and coffee-making facilities.
