For the more adventurous, there are rock climbing and beautiful cycling routes and, of course, there are many awards winning wine farms to visit.

36 guests' feedbackThe location is nice for someone who wants to be in town, but I think the posting is somewhat misleading as I thought it was on the outskirts of town. The road that runs past the yard (I think it's Langstraat) is very busy.
We enjoyed the comfort and facilities. It is very well located for access to the village and restaurants. Estelle was the perfect host.

A peaceful and beautiful place to stay! The host went above and beyond to make me feel at home and was so hospitable. Would recommend any day! Montagu is a lovely little town too.

We only stayed 1 night. We stayed and slept very well. It was very neat and clean.
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Estelle's beautiful place! The property is beautifully green, with great views of the mountains too. Everything is very well looked after and tidy and we also felt very safe. We even got homemade lemonade to enjoy! The breakfast was also delicious and Estelle is a fantastic host with whom you can chat comfortably.

Unfortunately, this is now the 1st time I have to give a bad review for a place to stay. For a rate of R2 500-00 per night, without air conditioning, this place is hopelessly overpriced compared to other places in Montagu. A sweltering hot night with a fan whirring, it was a sleepless night, after 9 hours on the road.
Beautiful place to stay among the vineyard and fruit trees. The outside shower was a bonus. Had a breathtaking view of the mountain with breakfast! Within walking distance of restaurants.

We had a wonderful time relaxing in our very comfortable room with en-suite bathroom. The porch in front of our room overlooks the vineyards and bluest pool - which we took advantage of a few times. New owner, Estelle's breakfast was top notch. She is an excellent hostess. We look forward to our next visit!

Louise received us very kindly. The room was comfortable and breakfast was exceptional and delicious. Beautiful surroundings with mountains and vineyards surrounding you. The heavy vehicles at night can be disturbing for light sleepers. Dinner is offered some evenings.
Louise even made reservations for us at a restaurant for dinner.

Beautiful place and delicious breakfast with excellent service. The climate in this area is particularly warm (46 degrees during our visit). We were disappointed that there was no air conditioner in the room. The pool was a welcome relief during the day, but unbearably hot at night. The bathroom windows open on the street side and have no burglar bars, so we could not open them so there is a draft through the room.

Lauren and Louise have a wonderful synergy and together they've created a warm welcoming guest house where they cater to their guests hearts tummies and souls with a graciousness beyond modern expectation. Even precious Neville (cat) and Basil (dog) are part of the magic that makes up The Vineyard. I think we need to move to Montagu!
