Thiart Huis is a self-catering house located on the Matjiesvlei Guest Farm, offering an authentic Karoo stay dating back to the 1800s imbued with family history documented by the current owner. This is the ideal choice for guests who wish to break away from city life through a humble and nostalgic experience.

This house has a sleeping capacity of 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The main and second bedroom are each furnished with a double bed, while the third bedroom has a double bed and a single bed. They share the use of a bathroom fitted with a bath, basin, and toilet. Linen and towels are provided.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, box freezer, stove, oven, microwave, basic cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The lounge is furnished with comfy couches and a dining table where guests can enjoy their meals. The house opens up to a patio with outdoor seating, perfect to savour a morning cup of coffee.

For the nature enthusiast, the Damrivierkamp is situated on the picturesque shores of the Gamka River, which is an angler's paradise, offering a wide variety of fish species, including yellowfish, black bass, eel, and carp. There are also fantastic waterholes perfect for swimming and rowing. Guests can also experience the Bôjaankop 4x4 route which takes you to the top of Bôjaankop, from where you can enjoy stunning views of the Little Karoo.
