Overall, was happy and likely to recommend and use Sabie Travel Lodge again in future. Looked for a pool but it was empty. Just a suggestion for the hotel to maintain the pool.
It was ok, but not upmarket. It could be cleaner and attention to detail.
Curtains can barely cover the window. Front entrance gate does not work, so anyone can get into your car or residence. Ants everywhere in places. Not value for money at all. Unsafe and not worth the money.
Because I was so busy, this was the perfect place to just go back to very late at night to sleep and wake up very early the next day and go about.
The cottage is quite well equipped, not 5-star equipped, but everything you need is available. The cottage needs some attention, but everything needed works and is available. It's in the middle of all the places in Sabie which is very convenient, but the space is quite limited. For a group of 4 or less, this is a very good place to sleep to see and experience everything in Sabie.
Accommodation was affordable, but expected better after I had seen the photos. Units are equipped for basic needs, bedding seemed clean - beds are very hard though. Overall experience - 5/10.
Pictures should reflect exactly what the place offers; so we know what we are paying for. Overall, friendly staff indeed.
TV was not working, pool not as clean as expected, picture in the internet does not compare to the experience. High noise levels coming from Hotel side of people singing or practicising for en event? Information desk non existing was not advised of any places of interest to visit or no advertising any where in tthe hotel, was no advised on the restuarant?
Sadly the room looked nothing like the pictures advertised - it was small and cramped. The place is really quite run down and not the cleanest. It was "self catering" but the condition of the cookware was so bad (rusted and dirty) that we opted to eat out instead. Electrical cables on the cooker were also damaged and repaired with clear sellotape instead of proper electrical tape. The room had spiders in the bed - great for a good fright! Cupboards were falling apart. The breakfast nook table could not be dropped down from the wall as the TV stand prevented this, meaning there was no table to use in the room. The gates for the chalet area were left open all night - so not much safety available. For the price paid, and for what is available in the area at similar prices, I am very disappointed.
First unit's TV was on fire when we turned it on. It's a terrible old TV and unit not pleasant at all. Then moved to other unit which was a bit better!
Rooms are not at all as advertised. Room was not very neatly made up. Room was also very dirty and the whole place just has a bad vibe.
We were put in a room we didn't expect we paid for, my son could barely watch TV the time we were there, other rooms had big TVs with a beautiful picture and we had a small box TV with 3 channels for adults and washing snowflakes all the time. Saturday night I had to call reception about a vehicle right under our window playing music so loud, after I called it was still on for 45 min, it was 9.45pm. At the same time drunk people owned the balcony and were loud and children were running up and down the corridors shouting and banging on the walls and door. What I paid and the amount on their subscription paper were very different and only 1 child came along. You're still walking like that, then the tiles crack under you.

We really enjoyed our stay at Travel Lodge Sabie during our short vacation. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and serviced every day. The only problem was that the curtain rails and bathroom rails were falling off the wall and the ceiling fan was also quite loose. Apart from those we enjoyed our stay.
The unit was lovely, the staff service was outstanding, the unit was cleaned everyday with clean towels, troubled tourist was dealt with immediately and sufficient.
The people were so friendly, but the drawback is that the hotel rooms had no fridge or kitchen facilities.

The cottage was neat and clean but the faucets at the sink were completely loose, the door of the bathroom (sliding type) was not in its track. I feel the maintenance could be stepped up. The reception was good and the staff attentive.
Our cabin was very cold and although clean, some maintenance was sorely needed. The taps leaked, the shower curtain railing was in need of repair, the bathroom door couldn't close properly. and was difficult to manage. and there was visible mould on the ceiling and tap. There was no two-point plug anywhere in the cabin or provision for two-point appliances, like cell phones. One of the mattresses kept sliding off the bed, due to it being worn out, and one of the kitchen chairs was completely unusable. Its top was loose and the screws were missing. The front door didn't lock without being pushed and tweaked and still remained quite loose in its hinges and one of the slats on the balcony was completely loose and broken, causing risk of injury to a small child. The staircase was very precarious and we had to block it off for our children, causing great discomfort.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms were always clean and tidy.
There was a misunderstanding regarding satellite TV and DStv facilities in the room. There is no DStv and for our family it was important to be able to relax in the evening after a nice day out with good TV programmes. The manager immediately helped us find alternative accommodation, she really went out of her way to help us without costing us any extra money.
Probably okay for one night but I wasn't happy.
We stayed there for 2 nights but it wasn't pleasant. Reception did not have our booking. The self-catering wooden unit is not an option because of the fact that the front door does not lock. Space is very limited. Bathroom door could not close. The bath had black mildew and the taps in the unit leaked. Fans were rickety and the towels did not smell fresh.
It is disgusting, please let people know there are no lift to the accommodation. Reception is also disgusting.
Very good location, with clean economical and spacious rooms. Staff friendly and helpful.
