30 guests' feedbackCabana A2 has been added in a way that makes the room with 3 single beds look more like a storage room than a bedroom. It is dark with a very small window and very little air. The unit's shutters and the 2nd bedroom's exterior door hinges are loose. The master bedroom's window is completely loose and falls to the ground when opened. The master bedroom door also cannot close completely due to poor workmanship on door hinges.
Please mention that there's no TV or bath towels. Tumble dryer didn't work and clothes stayed damp because of the rain. It was reported. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.
The unit needs a revamp. A slap of paint, new curtains and furniture would definitely help to create a more welcoming and pleasant stay for guests. The pictures are an accurate representation but they do not give one a sense of the ambience - when you're actually in the place.
The unit was very clean, tidy, fully equipped and excellently located (within walking distance of Uvongo and St Michael's on sea beaches, but far enough to be peaceful).
Cabanas no 2A needs attention to be able to fit in with the others. None, decoder, no wifi or fibre. All the other apartments do have it. Too many things that were wrong were reported.

Very conveniently located. Clean and tidy. Kitchen is well equipped. Mobile phone reception is very poor.
The accommodation is comfortable as a holiday home. Walking distance to the beach. On the ground floor with some space for the children to play. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely go there again.

One small problem with big impact, no/bad syn for the phones and decoder. Inside we were shut off from the world and could not watch TV.
The place was nice and very close to main beach. More than enough space and the agent helps with everything that may be needed.
The bathrooms were not up to standard at all. The one bathroom constantly had an unpleasant smell, so we didn't use it. The en-suite bathroom has a combined bath and shower, the drain of which was very blocked at first (I unblocked it). The sleeping facilities were extremely disappointing. The bedding was washed and according to the written name on the sheets, it did not even belong to "Cabans A2", unless it advertises under another name too but not too few. The one bedroom has moisture problems, and the bed's mattress should be replaced. The veranda overlooking the sea has a table but only 2 chairs? The kitchen and living area were good.
A nice braai with 180-degree ocean views is just what you need to relax.
Bad service, difficult communication, not equipped for the amount of people it is advertised for.
Staff was very accommodating as we only checked in close to 10:00 pm due to travelling. The unit was very neat and cosy. Although I will have to say that the doors to the bedrooms did not close properly and we had to purchase dish clothes as none was provided. But all in all it was an amazing weekend and I would definitely book there again.

This place has the perfect location, but the layout is bad because you have to walk through all the rooms to sit or braai outside. They don't have a washing line to hang swimming costumes and that would've been really nice. The house is well-equipped with all the necessities. It's also clean an near the sea.
Struggled a bit with the arrangements to get the hey. Shortage of kitchenware which was reported, but not addressed, and the promise to change the linen also never materialised, and the toilet leaked and the floor was wet the whole time, other than that, no problems.
The unit has 3 bedrooms, but the garden furniture offers just 2 chairs. The one bedroom is also very dark and the light didn't work. We weren't told of the R600 deposit that was due on arrival. There is a TV but no decoder, so the TV didn't work.
For the price you can't complain. It is still affordable and we are outsiders.
First time at Cabanas A2 and definitely not the last. Had a very neat, safe and peaceful holiday.
Flat clean, has all the comforts of home. Close to the beach - you hear the waves all the time. Have recommended to all!
Stay was very pleasant. It's very child-friendly. There were just a few things that needed attention, such as a leaking sink, leaking toilet, etc., and when we left, the caretaker still hadn't fixed the problems. It is certainly worth a visit. Walking distance from the sea, safe and quiet.
Bathrooms tiny, but overall satisfactory.
The unit needs a lot of attention. There is green mold on the ceiling in the master bedroom. The silicone seal at the bottom of the shower door is green/brown and creepy. The sinks are clogged and draining slowly. The cushions on the sofas in the TV room are dirty and smell bad. Cockroaches running around everywhere. It was said that arrangements had been made to have the unit fumigated after our departure. We checked out 4 days early because of this. Finally, the TV's antenna cable connector is also broken and makes very poor contact. The follow up service was extremely poor as nothing was done before we left.
We didn't have a good experience at all as we got there after a long journey and were told we couldn't check in. Because there are still people in the unit and they wouldn't be out until the next day. So then we had to look at a unit in Margate that was on the third floor. I then let the owner know that I was not happy at all and booked this particular unit as I have a 3 year old son and it was important to be on the ground floor. After a struggle, they got the people moved and we had to wait for more than 2 hours before they could clean the unit. After 7/8 hours of driving we had to do "something else" to give them a chance to clean and we could only unpack at about 5 o'clock that afternoon. That said, we were very unhappy with the cleanliness/hygiene of the unit. There were cockroaches coming out and running around everywhere. It was mostly in the kitchen, but it was very creepy because they were everywhere - on the tables, in the cupboards and by the sink. We didn't even want to eat there in the kitchen and with the utensils - didn't even want to spend time in the unit - it was too creepy.
We got there and they didn't know we were clocking in that day, so the apartment was still dirty and we couldn't find the apartment right away. We were on the road for 7 hours! The complex is supposed to be safe, but my cell phone was stolen during the evening, through the bedroom window! It was hot and the ceiling fan was also on. Every night we waged a war with cockroaches. We didn't have a nice stay at all, but our vacation was nice.
Uvongo Cabanas are luxurious and very clean with an ocean view. Very quiet and peaceful.
