We enjoyed our stay very much. The chalet was clean and tidy with everything we needed and literally a few meters from the beach. You could hear the sea all night. The owner was accommodating when we arrived quite late, having arranged in advance.

Lovely location on the beach at McDougall's Bay. Clean apartment with TV and DStv. We appreciated the loadshedding lamps and the back-up camping gas stove during loadshedding.

Clean and tidy with everything you need for a comfortable stay in McDougal Bay. Eating places are all in Port Nolloth. Unfortunately, cars are broken into in the area. Make sure you take everything out of the car in the evening. Accommodation is in Voet Bay where small boats go out to sea.

A broken hot water faucet in the shower and a bathroom door that won't close make this otherwise perfect little house uninhabitable. Wifi mostly didn't work.

Close to the beach and nice view of the bay. Well appointed and even had a gas stove for loadshedding. The place has a water pressure pump, so there was no water supply during loadshedding. The wi-fi was not available as advertised. Otherwise we had a very nice stay.
The location is exceptional, but what you get is not worth that much to us. It is marked that there is safe parking, but the wall and the gate are barely hip height and the owner told us not to park in the street because all the car windows were smashed, the fence and gate no one goes can't hold out The parking on the lot behind the "fence" is only big enough for 3 vehicles and the back one will park the other two. Apart from that we struggled with a broken faucet in the shower. The faucet wouldn't open or close properly and broke while we were there, so the water was pouring out of the wall. The kitchen sink faucets also feel like they are going to break at any moment. There are three units here, we expected two, all three units are so close together that you really have no privacy here, especially when you walk out your front door.
The place was clean which we appreciated but linen was not iron.
The apartment was used as a hair salon and was not cleaned.
Extremely poor and unprofessional behavior by hostess. We had to hurriedly look for accommodation elsewhere after we had already booked and paid. Upon our arrival, the hostess simply informed us that she had accommodated other guests in the unit we had specifically booked. Extremely disappointing.
Unit was dirty, no hot water, owner who would come back about problems just never seen again.
The unit originally allocated to us only had a view to the back of the property to a shack-like building. Fortunately, we could change that on arrival. We were able to choose a unit with a slightly better view, but the unit itself was badly furnished and not very inviting. Photos on the website show something completely different. Could not wait to leave after 2 days.

We enjoyed the place. It was very neat and spacious. It was very nice to be so against the sea where there are actually very few people. The owner was also very nice and helped us when we were in a difficult situation with accommodation at another place for the next night. Although they were fully booked the owner went out of his way to call hotels and guesthouses to find us a place at a very busy time of the year.
Great location and view.
Voetbaai Chalets has a great location, basically on the beach. The view of the sea was worth every penny. The chalet was comfortably furnished with everything a self-catering unit should have. Deck chairs on the patio were a bonus. Ansie was a wonderful hostess and went above and beyond to meet all our needs. We will definitely visit Voetbaai Chalets again if we want to escape from the world.

The chalet is spacious, well furnished and meets all requirements for a nice, comfortable place to stay very close to the sea.

We chose Port Nolloth as overnight accommodation because we were visiting the Richtersveld.
It would have been nice if the host had interacted with us, giving tips on local food and other interesting facts about the area. Lovely cottage with a friendly cleaning lady.

Spacious room with all possible amenities. It is located within steps of the sea with Port Nolloth nearby for meals if you don't want to prepare anything yourself.
We slept here for one night on the way from the Richterveld. Very nice and tidy place. The lights in the cottage are very dim, but otherwise everything was fine. Definitely good for one night.

We were kindly received and had a good night's sleep in the neat accommodation facing the beach. However, we feel that we expected more from such an expensive accommodation when you consider that we were only 2 persons in the four-bed accommodation. There were also no WiFi services available.
Very neat place. The only problem is all the mosquitoes in the apartment that bother you during the night. We probably killed more than 40 mosquitoes - that's a problem. Nothing wrong with the accommodation, is very clean.
If you want a place close to the sea, this is for you. We did not get the unit we booked. Pillows unironed. Crockery was dirty. View is everything but the sea. No extras to make you feel welcome. Also no information that you share facilities with other people.

We were 2 families with children between 3 and 8 who stayed at Voetbaai Chalets for 2 nights. Everything was perfect from communication to facilities and the warm blankets were a fantastic bonus. The evenings were very cold! The location is perfect and the children enjoyed walking to the beach and playing there. Although it is quite open and there is pedestrian traffic past the house safety was not an issue. Ilse, the cleaner, was very friendly and even allowed us to do a small load of laundry. Thank you very much! Will definitely recommend it. There is not a cafe in the village. The nearest shops are in Port Nolloth (about 10 minutes' drive). The pizza oven was a winner for lunch.

The cottage was, in one word, beautifully situated. Right at the beach, where we saw the flamingos! Everything we needed was in the cottage. Hostess was there immediately after we got there and explained everything to us. Very, very nice place.
The chalet was lovely, and as there are 3 units in very close proximity. Would say this venue is ideal for a big group or family. Just booking one chalet, especially during the season, runs the risk of noisy, partying groups in the very close other chalets.
We stayed the night in Hardertjie. It was well-equipped, the décor was appropriate and not overbearing. Everything worked. It's the best equipped kitchen I've ever had at a holiday destination.

The place is beautifully furnished, fantastic towels and the shower was deliciously hot. Everything is perfect. Even the braai facilities are excellent.
A wonderful and pleasant stay by the sea. We wanted to break up our journey from Aus to Cape Town to avoid the long journey in one day. It was a good idea and we were also able to visit Oranjemund which was previously not accessible to ordinary tourists.

Spent two nights in Hardertjie, one night on the way to Namibia and one night on the return journey. Clean, comfortable and safe. Really impressed with the furnishings and the addition of an electric blanket to warm the bed on a Port Nolloth winters night. Host was friendly and efficient and extremely helpful. Will definitely do it again!

What a great find at the end of a 2 week Namibian holiday! We couldn't have asked for better - and were sorry we could only stay there one night! The units were spacious, beautifully appointed and wonderfully comfortable! The view to the sea was good and we slept wonderfully with the sound of waves breaking peacefully on the beach.
The units are tastefully furnished and the kitchen and the extras in the bathroom exceeded all my expectations of a peaceful and enjoyable seaside holiday.

Beautiful house by the sea with a nice view and good facilities. It was clean and tidy and just a pleasure to be able to stay there. The two nights we booked turned into four. Will go back again.

Spacious, clean, friendly reception, everything opens and shuts. It is wonderfully located. We met a cold front in Port Nolloth and there was no heater or electric blankets to provide some heat. Will stay here again though.

Lovely staff, we are very spoiled.
We were very happy we landed up in Voetbaai Chalets, as they seemed to be the best self-catering option in Port Nolloth. They are very clean, neat and well maintained, and the fittings, bedding, kitchen utensils, etc are all of a very high standard. The owners also run an excellent self-catering establishment in Springbok named Klein Plasie, and their standards are very high.
