Was nice but the cabins need some renovation. Leaks and aircons.
We enjoyed our stay, but there is some maintenance needed. The aircon wasn't working correctly and was not heating up in Cabin 2. Cabin 1 and 5 need some maintenance for the leaking of water from the bathrooms. Cabin 1 lock is not working.
Stompies by the braai area, broken plastic toilet seat, dirty pot lids, no frying pan, no microwave as seen in the pictures, big red wine stain not wiped on the table, bakkies driving up and down all day until 21:30 so it wasn't peaceful and quiet. All could have been overlooked if we had water. But we had not so much as a container, a bucket, or a bottle of water so that we could flush the toilet, wash our face, or brush our teeth. I have never left a lodge so early. On a positive note, the lodge responded very professionally and made amends for our bad experience.
Voorbegin Lodge will definitly see us soon. The lodge and all the facilities were so so so neat and the staff super friendly and helpful!
Carl allowed us to check in earlier. Thank you very much. Tricia went out of her way to make us feel at home. Nothing is too much trouble for her. She is really an asset to Voorbegin. Her husband took us on a game drive and went out of his way to show us certain goats. The house was super clean, equipped with everything you need. Incredible view of the dam. Roads are neat, environment is clean. New covered parking. Will definitely go again.
Beautiful place, very nice and well furnished. We had a great time and the children played well. Beds were just very uncomfortable.
Our family had a great time in the river house. House needs some renovations, it rained heavily on Friday night and the covered braai on the porch is leaking profusely. Gas braai which is inside visiting area did not have gas bottle. Furthermore, the house is very well furnished, tidy and offers all the facilities one needs.
Roads in resort very neat. River and pond very beautiful. Good stay. The road from Bothaville was difficult as it was freshly scraped and then rain followed. Suitable vehicle required. My Polo stood tall! One negative comment. The "septic tank" was becoming clogged. It has been reported. they would probably attend to it after we left.
Everyone understands power failure but all water was also off during the load shedding.

We stayed in the camp site. All was clean and neat, but the ablutions did not fulfil our basic requirements.
The people are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are neat and nice, but not necessarily well thought out for the area (i.e warm blankets for the winter, a/c is ineffective / winter bedding). No "amenities". The lodge and animals are beautiful.
After the first call, the discussion went smoothly. Upon our arrival we were kindly received and made to feel at home. We were very kindly taken through the house and everything was explained. Everyone made us feel at home and it felt like you were at home visiting family. The management did a very good job of making everything as easy and possible as possible. With the greeting at the gate, a wonderful weekend came to an end. Thank you very, very much.
It was truly a nice and peaceful experience. The decor in the cottages is beautiful and luxurious. The silence truly makes it a place where you can just relax and clear your head. The children really enjoyed the pedal boats and fishing.
Andrea (Lodge Manager) and Natascha the Accommodation manager were so accommodating in everything we requested. They planned, shopped and organised the snacks, two braai's, potato dishes and salad, glasses, wood, ice to make our team stay stress free - A huge thank you from Keith Bradley and the Fruitways Farming Management.

First of all, I just want to say a big thank you to Andrea. She is friendly, helpful and was there every day to hear how things were going and if we needed anything. Also thanks to Happy who cleaned the house every day. You receive clean linen and towels during your stay. Sitting like that on the stoep and the Vaal River running about 50 meters away from you was fantastic. The sounds of all the birds in the trees were like music to your ears. The young bunch caught a lot of fish - carp and barbers and thoroughly enjoyed it. We felt safe and the people are all very friendly. Thank you very much for a fantastic and idyllic 8 days. Would recommend it to any person.
The unit was very nice, the place needs one or two things that need to be fixed, but other than that it was very nice. The people were also very helpful, they helped us with a flat tire.
I would recommend this place to people who want to relax a bit. The people are some of the friendliest and most helpful I have ever encountered. They make you feel so at home. The only downside is that it is a bit far from the Rand, otherwise I would have visited many more times.
Johan and Andrea and their team really deserve a pat on the back and I would fully recommend the farm for accommodation. The most beautiful venue for functions and weddings and extremely neat! Was truly a pleasure to stay there!

We enjoyed it, rested, watched animals, walked and watered lines. Jan and Stephanie are very hospitable. Everything is of high quality. The stoep is lovely, but if it starts to get very hot in the afternoon or cold in the evenings, then the stoep with garden chairs is not enough.
