We were happy with the braai facilities and the accommodation. The garden was well kept. A nice walk at sunset over the farmland.

Unfortunately, we only arrived at Wiida Gasteplaas late in the evening and were immediately taken to our place. There was parking (and power) for our forest truck right in front of our unit. The place is beautifully clean, very tidy and has everything one could need for overnight accommodation and self-catering. The braai suits we ordered came in very handy on our camp that lay ahead. The next morning we were surprised with a jar of boiling water for coffee (we knew it was going to be a burden). It was another touch of personal attention that we really appreciated. It's quiet and peaceful on Wiida Guest Farm - we would really like to stay longer.
What a pleasant surprise "Die Stal" has been. The cottage is very spacious, super modern and beautiful. It refreshes your soul after a day's long journey. It is private and with only the best quality kitchenware. The linen is cozy with the winter cold creeping closer. Charmaine and Albert were once again great with their unique and friendly hospitality. We are definitely going to visit "Die Stal" again for longer. Thank you again for the treat in the most beautiful Karoo.
It was nice to experience the feeling of an old farmhouse again. Had a great barbecue under the stars of the Karoo. Everything was clean and tidy. The sunrise the next morning before we left was picture perfect. Charmaine and Albert's hospitality is unique and genuine. Loved "Trompie" the dog's loving nature. Thank you again for a unique farm experience.
The stable is a very comfortable apartment hidden between farm buildings that gives you nice privacy. The unit is incredibly well equipped and we were able to have a wonderful barbecue under the Karoo's stars and enjoy the sunrise on the veranda. My two scotties also really enjoyed the fenced green lawn. I can definitely recommend the place!
Ideal place for children. Open spaces where they can play and just be kids. Enjoy the clear starry night while lighting a fire and listening to nature. Ideal place for a break from the city.

What a fantastic sleepover night on the way to the West Coast. Charmaine warmly welcomed us, provided us with wood and barbecue packs for a fantastic evening in the Northern Cape. The accommodation was modern, clean and they even had a power generator to forget about the Eskom blues. We will definitely visit again!

Lovely farm setting, friendly hospitality and helpfulness, painstakingly neat and more-than-well-equipped cottage, lovely dogs who patiently put up with our terrified dogs, blissful silence.
Ideal overnight stop on the N12 just outside Hopetown with secure parking. The hospitable people immediately helped us with wood and a nice chat. We spent the night in the house and everything is clean and comfortable. The bathroom runs from one of the three bedrooms and has two showers and two toilets with benches.

The air conditioning blew a little weak and did not cool the room. No body soap was available.

Great place to stop-over for our trip cross country. Warm welcome from the patrons and even warmer welcome from the sweet troop of friendly dogs. Our dog felt right at home and the place was perfectly kitted out. Comfortable and clean - would definitely revisit.
I spent October travelling the Western Cape with my elderly Mom and Aunt. Wiida Gasteplaas was our quick overnight, for the very last night of the trip, on the way back home. Normally this last road stop is just a eat, sleep and leave affair, but not at Wiida. It was one of the top places we stayed during the trip; the lush garden cooled us down, the sunset spoiled us with its glory, the dogs are delightful, and the staff are so welcoming and professional. All round a magical experience that put the cherry on top of a lovely month.
If you say in the guesthouse with 6 people, just be aware that you have to go through the second bedroom in order to reach the bathroom.

My adult daughter and I were overwhelmed with hospitality. We walked on the exceptionally neat vast farm with the gentle Trompie and disciplined Jacky (dogs) and took beautiful photos. The safe environment offers many interesting sights and the owners are particularly helpful and friendly. The neat, nicely furnished accommodation offers privacy and relaxation, and is exceptionally well equipped with everything you need and more.

The cottages are well furnished, they overlook a lovely lawn and the surroundings are beautiful. For sure a good option to break away for a weekend.
The configuration of the guest house is such that the owners only let one group/family stay there. This is necessary because one moves through a bedroom to the bathroom and kitchen. The house lends itself to a friends or family visit. Complete braai facilities are available on the farm (grill, tongs etc.) and there is wood for sale. It helps a lot if you don't have to bring it with you.

Sold braai packs and wood for braai. We had a problem with the aircon which was sorted very quickly. The farm pond was fantastic for cooling off. Unfortunately, everyone has to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the bathroom. There are 2 toilets, 2 showers and 2 sinks in a common bathroom. It was very neat. There were also field bugs and spiders that kept my grandkids awake, but there is Doom available.
Beautiful place. Just be aware the room is not child friendly at all. Those are beautiful glass bowls and beautiful lamps everywhere. It's obviously gorgeous and a really neat place, but not child friendly. The bed was incredibly hard. We slept little. Again, I'm just saying it. Maybe other people like it. The children did have fun roaming around and playing with the cute animals. The room is very neat and stylish.

Hosts were ready to welcome us, helped us with braai facilities and everything we needed. I loved the train passing through now and again. We had everything we need and more, felt safe and welcome. A friendly suggestion would be to look at doing something with the 'step' from the one bedroom to the bathroom. It was a bit of a concern for us as one could miss this in the dark when going to the bathroom, my sister in law slept with the bedside lamp switched on to avoid accidents, but that is the only aspect of concern. Thank you Wiida! What lovely people!
Pets are welcome and Trompie the greyhound with his boxy band welcomed and kept our baby dog Mac busy.
It is a very comfortable unit with a very friendly greyhound who kept us company. The surroundings are beautiful and the train passing by is a sound we no longer know.

I got stuck in the mud on the way, but someone came to help me out very soon. My dog also had a great time playing on the large, green lawns.
I was left frustrated. Upon checking in I was given wrong room. I had to phone the agent to verify my booking and to make it worse we spent the while night with no electricity. In the morning the water was cold, this is not what I was sold on the internet. After such a nice trip to the Karoo, Wiida Gasteplaas took all that away. Sad part is that we had offloaded our luggage and we had to move them while it was raining to the other unit I had initially booked with no assistance or apology from the staff.

We slept so well there, the place is clean, tidy and stylish. The reception was homely and friendly. We sat outside in the evening listening to the wind blowing through the trees, amazing. We traveled with our bull terrier Max, and Max was kindly welcomed by old Jackie and another friend, who had fun running around on the grass and playing till it burst. Definitely value for money.
