Wildebraam Berry Estate

Each unit is fully equipped for self-catering, is air-conditioned, and offers guesthouse package DStv channels and free Wi-Fi. All units have braai facilities with 1 complimentary bag of wood and firelighters. Accommodation comprises; Berry Cottage, Garden Suite, Blueberry and Cranberry adjacent apartments located on the second floor of the cellar.
Enjoy magnificent mountain views and the peace and quiet of country living. Here you will fall asleep with the hooting of owls and croaking of frogs under a breathtaking canopy of stars.
The cellar produces a range of delicious liqueurs. In addition, the farm kitchen produces a tempting array of berry and fruit jams, dessert syrups, chutneys, relishes, pickles, and gifts which can all be sampled and purchased in the infamous “tasting room”. It is so beautiful here you will be sorely tempted to pick your own berries in season and then relax with your picnic baskets just absorbing the countryside serenity.
In addition, Wildebraam has a conference and function venue which can host up to 64 delegates for both corporate and private functions.
Activities include berry picking in season, liqueur tasting, hiking, biking, horse riding, birding, golfing, or just good old R&R! Well-worth visits could include the local Drostdy museum, Bontebok National Park, De Hoop Nature Reserve, and Robertson wine route, just to mention a few. There are also lovely day trips into the countryside including Barrydale, Montagu, Robertson, Malgas, and Arniston, but most of all, lots of relaxing. Wine tasting and country meandering are the order of the day.

165 guests' feedbackWe had a wonderful time at Wildebraam. The Berry Cottage had everything we needed. We loved being able to braai on the stoep and enjoy the view.
Very romantic, spacious, clean and hiking trails from your stoep. They remembered our anniversary. Thanks, thanks, thanks!
Hidden gem of a place between mountains and valley. Friendly welcome. Neat and beautiful place with everything you would need. Safe parking and close to restaurants, even though it is located on a farm. We were upgraded to a bigger place which was a pleasant surprise. You will definitely see me again in the future and this time I will stay longer. The liqueur tasting was so nice and people very, very friendly.
Very nice and comfortable stay. Would just improve the shower a bit.
The Garden Room was small but had everything you'd need. The Cranberry Room was spacious and well equipped. A beautiful setting on the farm looking up at the mountains. Of course, the tasting room is a must.
Neat and cosy, and it had all the practical aspects that a self-catering unit would need.
Breathtaking surroundings. Nice place. All is well and right. Couldn't find anything wrong.
Was delicious. Everything needed in rooms. The aircons were dripping a bit inside - assume a water pipe leak.
Very nice. Garden Suite offers enough privacy to relax wonderfully.
The accommodation was well laid out and had everything one needed. Would love to recommend it. Very beautiful and peaceful.
Beautiful stay with excellent service.
We had a great stay in the Wildebraam Berry Estate. Everything was comfortable, neat, clean and functional.
Beautiful place, everything you need and more. It's close to the shops too, so if you forgot something, it's about 10 minutes away.
Very nice stay. Only slept there one night. Everything very good and clean. We were also spoiled for our wedding anniversary. The liqueur tasting was also really worth it. We will go again!
Wonderful stay on the beautiful farm! Thank you very much for the hospitality.
Lovely surroundings, beautiful accommodation and friendly hostess made our overnight stay at Wildebraam Berry Estate perfect! Farm experience just a stone's throw from town. We will be back. (Oh yes, don't forget the most delicious jams.)
Very nice stay, thank you!
Everything was beautiful. The kitchen is impractical.
It was delicious, convenience with nature was just right.
We really enjoyed our stay. Place is very neat. The tasting room is pleasant with friendly staff.
Extremely comfortable.
The accommodation has all the essentials and comforts you need for a weekend away.
It was nice. Nice quiet area. People looking for rest can go there. The area is hot and there is no swimming pool. It was not nice when the owner's dogs ran up to us and barked, and they didn't call the dogs back. Only when they were driving did they call the dogs. So that action put a damper on everything, so I won't book there again.
Very friendly staff. Pet friendly. Loved this place and would recommend it.
I feel that there should be a cleaning service while staying at Wildebraam Berry Estate.
The service was very good and the place was clean and tidy. We had a great stay and can easily recommend it.
Very nice, neat accommodation in a beautiful area. Friendly people on the farm. Very close to the main road without hearing or seeing the road.
We had the best time staying in the Garden Suite and the Blueberry Cottage! Absolutely amazing customer service, we had an issue with our DSTV in the garden suite and Michelle immediately came down to try to sort it out for us, once she realised it was an issue on DSTV's end she offered for us to stay in the Blueberry Cottage for the night which was so lovely! She was so nice to us and so so helpful! We will definitely be coming back very very soon! But just a few things to note if you are wanting to book the Garden Suite if it rains your car might get a bit stuck in the mud as ours did since you park on grass but that was a fun experience trying to figure out how to get out of that lol! Also it seems that there is a toilet above the unit or next to it that flushes every 5 minutes throughout the whole night but it turns into white noise after a while but I will still give them 5 stars because it was amazing and the customer service was amazing! And their jams and liqueurs are great too!
On a freezing cold night, Wildebraam Berry was deliciously warm with electric blankets on a very comfortable bed. The unit was beautiful, spotlessly clean and met all our needs. We can definitely recommend it.
We were travelling long distances with an overnight at Wildebraam. It was everything we needed. Comfortable, clean, secure, private and peaceful with breathtaking surroundings. Perfect for a city escape, relaxing and enjoying fresher air. Thank you.
By far the best pre-arrival service ever received from any establishment. The unit is very spacious, with all facilities needed; a great view from the deck. Will definitely be back.
The location is exceptional with the view of the mountains. Although not far out of town, was not aware of the traffic at all. Accommodation itself was everything one still has and more. Staff were very friendly and helpful, all the necessary information was made available without asking. There are walking and cycling routes accessible from the accommodation. Can definitely recommend it, was very satisfied and would love to visit again.
Loved the area and surroundings of the cottage. Lots of space for our dog to run around. Will definitely go there again. Very near restaurants and shops and still "out in the country".
A place in heaven and absolutely peaceful.
What a special experience. Great place to go with dogs. Large grass in front of sleeping place where dogs can play. Very friendly staff and delicious tasting room at the accommodation. Great farm experience.
Really nice place to stay, recommend it!
The farm was beautifully picturesque and well-maintained. Our Garden suite was small but adequate and had everything we could want in a self-catering venue. The shower pressure was a little low but we were very grateful it could still get hot during load shedding. A trip to the farm store is a must, try the rooibos-infused liqueur!
Place is well equipped. Been very calm.
Would love to see during berry season.
We were accommodated at very short notice by our hostess and her family, thank you very much for that. The unit was very neat, clean and met all our self-catering needs. The air conditioning also helped a lot. We had a delicious barbecue on the stoep while we watched the sunset and Twaalfuurkop with the sounds of guinea fowl around us. The children also cycled on the farm. A two-plate gas stove will help for making coffee and something to eat if there is load shedding, fortunately during our visit Swellendam got a day of "grace" after a transformer was already out of action for 4 days. We were truly grateful for that and have a lot of sympathy for all the business owners should an unexpected incident occur. We will definitely stop by again.
Very nice little town! Everything you need is very close to each other. Unfortunately didn't have time to visit places around Swellendam but will go again.
Definitely useful for business stays, holiday stays depend on your personal preferences. My own fault: I did not notice the part in the description that mentioned the apartments (Blueberry and Cranberry) are situated above the cellars, and what that would mean for me as a guest. Fortunately, being a business trip, I was gone before the staff arrived and the Tasting Room opened for business, and generally arrived back just as the operations were closing down for the day. However, I would not have wanted to stay in one of the apartments if I was on holiday and wanting to relax. Notwithstanding that, the apartment is reasonably well-appointed (as always with self-catering facilities there never seems to be quite enough room to prepare proper meals, or store dry foods, but I was grateful for the full-sized fridge and proper stove, as well as the backup of a gas plate for load shedding). The cleaning service seems to be on the fence a bit, i.e. the bare minimum is done (so the bed was made, but the dishes I had washed were not put away). Perhaps ask guests when they check in what they would prefer and then take it from there? Customer service was, however, very responsive - I never actually saw anyone because I was coming and going after hours, but the communication over WhatsApp was brilliant. I knew exactly where to go, what to do, and when I had car trouble and asked if there was a mechanic in town, was provided with two names to try. I also let them know after hours that the shower drain needed unblocking and that was dealt with first thing the next day. Finally, I left my pillow behind in my room when I left, and the cleaning lady found it within minutes and had the owner call me - I had barely even reached the main road, which gives an indication of how fast they moved to let me know. Overall, it was more than fit for purpose, although I wouldn't book one of the apartments for a holiday. That's only because I prefer seclusion and total peace and quiet, but that's not to say that they're totally unsuitable - it's just my personal preferences.
Went to taste some of their products which was very nice. Garden room is good for a night's sleep.
Place was clean, stylish and very well-stocked for a self-catering room.
Needed a transient stay for 1 night on our trip. It was great for that purpose. Arrived at night - that's why it was a bit difficult to find. Quite outlying, only a window door to enter the apartment, that's why it felt a bit "spooky", but we had a pleasant stay, without any complications.
The unit is comfortable with everything one needs. Despite various challenges that the load shedding caused, the hostess went out of her way to help us. Think this is a great place in berry season. The liqueur tasting is an experience.
It was a beautiful place outside Swellendam that makes nice liqueurs. We were able to rest after the long drive and apart from loadshedding it was a perfect overnight spot.
Comfortable clean unit. Everything you need for self-catering. Staff excellent. Especially the hostess who made 100% sure everything was clean and ready for us. I will definitely go back again. Definitely recommend.
It was delicious. Natalie is very nice and helpful.
Kids loved seeing all the horses and playing on the rocks in the stream. Super cosy fire place inside. Lekker braai with massive stoep. Comfortable bedding and cupboard space. Has everything you could need. On a tasting farm. delicious jams and sauces and liqueur. Yummy. Friendly doggies came to say hello. So peaceful. Close to shops with all you need. Would go back.
Communication tops. Clean, well-equipped and comfortable are the words that come to mind. Will definitely go back.
Neat accommodation in peaceful surroundings.
The chalet we stayed in was comfortable and cool. We enjoyed delicious tastings, braais and walks. The farm is close to Swellendam and we enjoyed visiting the many attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend with our dogs.
Comfortable apartment in a beautiful valley, close enough to Swellendam. Nice touches, like complimentary tea, coffee and milk. I will definitely be back.
We unexpectedly had to adjust our booking due to car problems and they were very accommodating and friendly. House made deliciously warm for our arrival and enough wood to sit cozy in front of the fireplace all day in the rain. Can't wait to go back.
Wildebraam Berry Estate is definitely value for money. Clean environment and lots of fresh air. A definite place to visit.
Quiet environment and away from traffic. Accommodation was satisfactory and service was excellent.
Very nice for a quiet evening away.
Had a really nice stay. Will definitely use them again if we are in the area.
Compressor running day and night; had to close bathroom windows and door but noise still a problem. Subsequently, no draught and very warm. Aircon not working properly, one stove plate broken, Weber braai has a hole in it, general air of neglect about the place, eg. dusty wardrobe, dirty kitchen cupboard doors, horrible banging and shuffling noises from store room right next door to Cranberry, sometimes from 06:30. Should be a warning on website about incessant noise when booking one of the 2 rooms on top of the tasting rooms. Came home a day earlier - was really unbearable. Linen and bedding were clean.
Beautiful unit with all the necessary amenities. Friendly host and hostess. Definitely an option when visiting Swellendam.
Nice rural environment and yet very close to the town with good restaurants and places to visit.
Quiet atmosphere, beautiful scenery, place clean and tidy and well equipped. Real diamond. Staff friendly and helpful.
Really comfortable cottage although on the main entrance to the berry farm it wasn't too noisy. Very clean and absolutely great hot showers. Bonus was being able to take our dogs and had several visits from the farm dogs who are very friendly and relaxed. Loved sitting outside bird watching and seeing how the mountains change throughout the day.
Customer service is excellent, sorted out our problem with the DStv very quickly. Accommodation clean and tidy. Comfortable chairs on the stoep will make a big difference as well as better equipment for the braai to be able to handle coals/wood.
Convenient location with the farm peacefulness, yet close enough to be accessible to town. We enjoyed our stay, the units were perfect for our needs and very clean and organised when we arrived. Thank you.
I love the setting. As a married couple, we also enjoyed the privacy.
Cute guest house surrounded by beautiful nature. The tasting room can definitely be visited.
Absolutely loved our stay with a braai outside and a cosy fire enjoyed inside.
The place was cozy and clean. A bit small (our 1 year old was with us) we chose it so that he can play outside in the garden. It is very beautiful and peaceful there, no disturbing noise. We made good use of the tasting room, there is a great selection. We would definitely recommend it.
Wonderful getaway in the green, between mountains and vegetation. Beautiful farm, friendly people and lots of birds to listen to.
The accommodation itself was very comfortable. Would love to book again in season.
The cottage is very run down, doors that don't lock securely, handles that are about to fall off, a carpet in the bedroom that is very weathered and didn't look too clean.
Security is weak. Crackware is not complete. The apartments are on top of a farm shop which disturbs peace and makes noise.
What a lovely place The location is so peaceful and serene The home was beautiful and well equipped They offer very nice tastings and explanations on all of their products Definitely a gem
The cottage is perfectly furnished with plenty of space. The surroundings are beautiful with enough space to go walking or cycling.
The receptionist provided good reference for what to do in Swellendam, it made the whole trip worthwhile.
Beautiful, quiet surroundings, very pleasant stay with friendly reception. Housing comfortable with everything you need. We have stayed in the same unit before and will definitely use it again.
Children had fun playing and it is quiet and beautiful. Have fun.
The unit is well-equipped with everything you may need. Quiet and peaceful. The products they sell in the cellars are of good quality. Delicious liqueurs and jams. Would recommend the stay.
Keep up the good service.
With the rain, the entire stoep was under water and even though the braai is covered, you can't reach it. Roof leaked in the room.
A separate bedroom with bathroom that can be reached from the bedroom and open-plan dining area is very handy. For hot summers, air conditioning in the bedroom is wonderful and large windows and glass doors offer a wonderful view. Products from Wildebraam Berry Estate are delicious and well priced.
Baie netjies en stylvol. Perfekte akkommodasie vir 'n wegbreek uit die stadsgewoel.
The directions of how to get there were clear. We were received hospitably, we had help with our luggage and the place was well equipped. Everything was spotless. The bed was comfortable and there were enough blankets. The environment is beautiful. It was the second time we slept there.
We had a lovely stay.
The Berry Cottage is comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Air conditioning in the bedroom also makes summer stays pleasant. We enjoyed sitting on the spacious porch at sunset, lighting a braai fire and seeing the scenery. Swellendam is conveniently close and an excellent base for day trips in the region. Would definitely recommend. The liqueur and jams made on the farm are also delicious!
Very tidy with lovely bathrooms, first place we stayed overnight that had a decent sized fridge in it.
Friendly service and very helpful.
Neat, clean and convenient at a very reasonable price. For a person on a business trip, just looking for a night's sleep, this is ideal. If you want to stay longer and rest and explore the Swellendam area, this will work. Lovely location in the Hermitage Valley.
Comfortable, spacious accommodation. Beautiful views. Quiet, quiet environment. Slept just one night. Will go back again.
They were able to help us very quickly on a Sunday night, beautiful place, cute rooms for the family, location is stunning with the mountain right in front of you, would definitely stay there again.
Safe clean tidy. Quiet and comfortable.
No activities advertised. Noise from cold room at night.
The actual accommodation cannot be compared to the advertisement at all. I would not recommend the accommodation to anyone at all, poor service and the accommodation is dilapidated and extremely unclean. The pictures look like cute romantic cottage, and the actual accommodation looks like school camp accommodation. Definitely not worth the money.
Enjoyed staying at Berry Cottages a lot, everything was neat and well equipped. We went for walks on the farm. It is definitely a yes and we will go again.
See star rating.
Natalie welcomed us very warmly. The mountain, tranquility of the farm and the beautiful sounds during the night was special. It was a lovely experience.
Lovely friendly staff for the liqueur tasting. Wonderful big fireplace which kept us cosy.
Clean, tidy and everything that can be needed. Cottage has a lovely fire place and the jam a bonus.
It was really nice! The farm environment made it really fun.
A must stop for any traveler!
Our unit is very comfortably furnished, was very neat and clean with a lovely view. We were very kindly welcomed and had peace of mind because there was secure parking for our vehicle. We would go back anytime.
Great place. Perfect location, super neat, very friendly staff. Hoping to visit during berry season and to stay in a cottage.
From the start of my interaction with management at the Wildebraam Berry Estate I could see that we would be looked after. They were extremely professional and friendly and answered any questions I had promptly. The venue lends itself to anyone who would like the peace and solitude and hiking in the nearby nature reserve is just minutes away. The accommodation was well appointed and other than our personal belongings and food we did not require anything. The accommodation is suitable for pets as long as management are aware. You will frequently be visited by the lovely black Labrador, Sambuca, and the Golden and friendly Bailey.
We had a great stay for two nights and the place is well equipped and clean. Our 5-year-old daughter enjoyed the animals and there is something to see, right up to the river that runs through the farm. With the picturesque mountains covered in snow, it was something to remember. Melanie is very helpful and can help quickly.
Our family had a lovely overnight stay on our way down the coast. Very friendly staff, lovely self catering studio apartment with everything you need to enjoy a meal. Loved the fact that we could stock up on berries and jams straight from the farm. Very positive experience.
Berry Cottage is beautiful, we will definitely book there again!
We had an overnight stay at the garden suite. The unit is an open plan bachelor style cottage with its own patio and braai outside. Despite being compact, it is well-equipped for 2 people. The kitchen is fully stocked, there is an air-conditioner and TV in front of the bedroom with DStv. The king-sized bed is clean and comfortable with king-sized pillows. The host is friendly and accommodating and gave good recommendations of things to do in the area. I recommend doing a tasting of the interesting liqueurs, jams, chutneys, etc that the farm produces.
Pleasant overnight stay while travelling to our final destination. Peaceful environment promising a good night's rest away from the city buzz. Would like to recommend light installation at braai facility as an improvement.
Our stay was very pleasant. We will definitely visit again. Wildebraam's staff were all very helpful and friendly.
Everything about the place was great. Child friendly, we had a pleasant stay. Nice friendly dogs Bailey and Sambuca.
Thank you very much, it was a beautiful place with the most beautiful view. The 2 dogs made my day playing so nicely with the round stones while kitty cat watched them from the balcony. Will definitely recommend.
How wonderful to just escape from city life and be on your own, and getting in touch with yourself and your loved ones again.
We stayed in the Garden Room. It was a nice little cottage perfect for 2 people. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. We had a nice braai on the first night with the beautiful view of the mountain in the back ground and really appreciated the bag of wood and fire lighters that were complimentary. The ladies at the reception in the tasting room were very welcoming and the tasting itself was very nice. The Berry Estate is close to the town and close to the Marloth Nature Reserve so we didn't have to drive far that was a big plus for us. We will definitely come back again.
My doggie and I were treated to a warm welcome - also by the two guard dogs on the farm. Garden Suite is spacious enough for a single traveller and equipped with everything you need for self-catering. The view of the beautiful garden and the braai wood was a nice bonus. The location such that you are close enough to the town and other attractions, but you still experience the peace and quiet of life on the far. I will book Wildebraam Berry Estate again (and not just because the liquer is so delicious).
Was kindly received and informed about attractions and places to eat in the area. Overslept two nights. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Two friendly dogs often came to say hello. Can definitely recommend this accommodation.
It was a lovely place to spend the night. The area is immaculate and the units very clean. The Garden Suite is a little smaller and not as luxurious as the apartment, Cranberry, but I slept great nonetheless. The units are fantastically equipped with everything you would need and the hostess was immediately available to deal with any issues, even after 5pm in the evening. I can highly recommend them.
Wonderful weekend away with the most beautiful farm life.
We went back to Berry Cottage exactly a year since the first time. Just like the first time the facilities were excellent and the accommodation was peaceful and relaxing, and the area is beautiful. Was disappointing that the owners/management didn't call once in the 5 days to find out if everything was OK. Communication from the owners always makes you feel welcome. We want to recommend this accommodation. But this doesn't mean we won't book Berry Cottage again!
Very friendly and accommodating staff. They were very helpful. And place has breath taking views.
We had a very nice stay. Very comfortable house, well furnished and tidy.
Our stay of 5 nights at Berry Cottage was a very blessed experience. The cottage was perfect for our needs. It was well equipped, neat and especially the bedroom was exceptionally spacious. We liked the big stoep and the braai on the stoep is ideal for people like us who love to braai. The view is beautiful and the pretty surrounds ensures a calm atmosphere. Thank you also to the friendly staff.
We enjoyed our overnight. Quiet, private in a pretty garden setting.
The stay at Wildebraam was certainly a wonderful experience. My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much. Compliments on an excellent self-catering unit. I must say that it felt like heaven on earth. The tranquility and nature. Once again, thank you for making our weekend a memorable one. Another good memory for our holiday scrapbook. We will be back.
I really liked the comfortable bed with the wonderful bedding. The owners are very friendly and make you feel at home. I would definitely recommend others to visit this place.
It is very peaceful and just right to charge the batteries. Will stay here again!
Rural feel with friendly and helpful people. Will definitely stay there again.
This was our first visit to the Wildebraam. For the amount we paid, we were pleasantly surprised. We were contacted to confirm what time we would be arriving and everything in the unit was ready upon our arrival, even the air conditioning was on! Although we found slips on the floor from the previous visitors, the rest of the unit was clean, tidy and well maintained. The mountains are picturesque and the tranquility of the farm environment soul-invigorating. We can't wait to visit them again!
Very well equipped for self-catering accommodation.
We stayed in Berry Cottage and found everything we needed. The fire pit on a cold winter's evening was an attraction, but the chimney didn't draw so well, and the complimentary wood (thank you!) was very wet! The location on Wildebraam is breathtaking.
The people at Wildebraam were hospitable and friendly. Our accommodation was comfortable and the view of the mountains was incredible.
Great outdoors, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Definitely the place for nature lovers and the cottages offer a nice warm home. Friendly staff, it's people-people!
We shared the Rose Cottage for the three of us "old ladies", with one bathroom off the kitchen wasn't really good enough. But for one night stay, we made do. We came for the berry picking and that was very satisfying: blackberries and youngberries.
Stay was very nice and house was well furnished. Everything was clean and tidy and we have no complaints.
We stayed in the Rose Cottage. Beautiful setting with breathtaking views of the mountains and horses right on your doorstep. We enjoyed it very much. The fireplace gave the place that extra special feeling.
We stayed in Rose Cottage. The stay was very pleasant. The bed in the master bedroom's mattress, especially on the wardrobe side, is very hollow. My back was very sore. We have booked pet friendly accommodation. We were under the impression that the premises would be fenced because it was marked as "pet friendly", but it was not. We were obliged to leave the sausages inside for the time we visited the town due to the fact that they would not be safe outside.
Beautiful location ideal for a getaway. Friendly and helpful staff and on top of that they are pet friendly too!
The unit smelled terribly bad, especially the bathroom and the room. The unit was very old fashioned and not worth the money.
It was wonderfully peaceful, tidy and everything needed was there. There is a beautiful view and three very friendly, but obedient dogs. I can recommend it without reservation.
We had a wonderful stay!
Excellent for families who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's something different from the sea. The peaceful nature of the environment gives any person who wants to get away the necessary bliss. Definitely recommended for those who are tired and need rest.
Beautiful scenery and fresh air, ideal for clearing the mind. Children could get to know nature and visit Dee for horse riding. She is great with kids and helpful!
See the stars below.
The Garden Cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. The reception was very warm and friendly and the friendly dogs strengthened the farm atmosphere.
Pleasant & friendly owners.
We had a very nice stay. Everyone is very helpful. The children really enjoyed the berry picking. The scenery is beautiful with a view of the mountains and the horses. The house is very neat and clean. However, there are a lot of spiders and insects, but that's understandable on a farm and especially because the house is located next to a pond.
We let them know in advance that we might be there a little earlier than 14:00 (check-in time). So we were disappointed when we arrived at 2pm and the cleaners were still busy. We had to wait half an hour before we could enter. The cottage needs some renovation outside. The house was VERY neat and clean inside - the children had a great time playing with the dogs and feeding the horses. The view over the mountains is very beautiful. We would definitely go again, but maybe try the Berry Cottage instead next time.

It might be a bit expensive for what you get.
The farm itself is very beautiful and the service was great! The millions of flies did indeed spoil. It was very unpleasant trying to grill with the flies that are everywhere.
The room is comfortable with all necessary equipment. Unfortunately leaking toilet and smell made it less pleasant. A very nice setting, but perhaps not quite worth the price.
Although the surrounding mountains and nature are beautiful, the reality of the farm and its photos do not match. We were very disappointed, or our expectation was too high. We really enjoyed the friendly dogs! The fact that you have to sleep with air conditioning to get air and cannot open a window to breathe in fresh farm air (otherwise the bugs eat you) was a big disappointment for us. The room was neat and clean and the kitchen well equipped.
Was lovely, will definitely stop there again.
Our experience from the moment we arrived to the moment we left was wonderful. Kat's service is of excellent quality and she is a great asset to the farm. She looked after us so well and walked the extra 10 miles without any effort. The surroundings are breathtaking, the farm is stunning. The products are delicious!! Definitely a farm we will visit again and can certainly recommend.
Our houses were away from the others, by a stream and the horses. Our 2 year old son really enjoyed the horses and the outside light.
Must do the free "tastings" offered at the farm.
Wildebraam is a beautiful estate and the accommodation is clean, tidy, safe and special. The children especially enjoyed the horses and little river. It is very close to Swellendam and there is a lot to do in the area. The complimentary jam and liqueur tasting was a great surprise.

The location is very good - however, we found that after a lot of rain, it was difficult to get to the accommodation. The accommodation needs some renovations done, as we discovered the damp from the outside wall seeping in, so the room smells a bit, and it feels as though the furniture is from a second-hand store with old curtains, tatty chairs. There was no tea towels the first day, but then while we were out the second day, a towel was brought but then the dish washing liquid removed! The service at the tasting room was good but we didn't see anyone at the accommodation.
Reception friendly and helpful; accommodation comfortable and private. One suggestion would be to add in a two-plate hotplate.
