I was surprised at how beautiful it is here. The scenery is breathtaking. We had a nice stay, the places are well equipped and tidy. Wilgewandel has a lot to do and you can eat well at the restaurant. It's near Cango caves and Cango Wildlife Sanctuary where you can see crocodiles and other animals.

We had a lovely stay there - very tidy. There are really many activities to keep small children busy. And the food at Wilgewandel was out of the books!
Even though we arrived late at night, the Night Guard made it easy for us to find our room. The next morning we were surprised with the beautiful surroundings, view, and all the fun activities we could do. Food was fantastic too. Thank you very much!
Our stay was extremely good and fun. The house/unit was neat and warm (good for the winter), and quiet, given the proximity of the main complex and activities provided. The kids (14 and 11) enjoyed the activities on offer (some activities were closed for the winter). The restaurant offered good value for money food, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the farm, close to the Cango Caves and Swartberg Pass, made for convenient and beautiful day trips. A wine farm nearby also offered some activities for the adults.
Nice place to stay near the Kango Caves. Room is equipped with all basic necessities you will want. Breakfish the next morning was top notch.
The customer service was excellent, very pleasantly received, everything was well explained and the accommodation was ready and clean. However, the unit we got was not like the pictures.
We booked (we had 2 confirmations and deposits through Lekkereslaap), and then our friends decided to join us, so we booked directly (in the same name). On the Friday, we were running late, so we phoned to check the late arrivals procedure. It was obvious that the bookings had not been sorted by the office. We had 2 confirmations and deposits, but they sounded confused and phoned us back. On arrival, room 2 was allocated to our friends, and we got room 5. Note that our confirmation said room 3. No kettle, proper cutlery, etc. Not good enough, showed that they "made a plan!" The resort is run down and average.
My stay was awesome. Kids loved it. Only one slight problem: "All kids activities are extra." Maybe increase the price and include kids activities.
They need barbecue.
Will definitely go back.

Heaven on earth for small children. There are enough activities to keep them busy all day. Nice restaurant at Wilgewandel. Also very close to the Kango Caves, Zipline, and Swartberg Pass. Lots of nice hiking trails in the area too.

Upon arrival, Pienaar and his staff immediately made us feel at home. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. We as a family really enjoyed it and will definitely go back again.
I traveled by motorbike. There was secure parking behind the gate. Unfortunately, the restaurant closes a little early. Already 5 hours. But the owners more than made up for it by packing me food and a fresh salad in a picnic basket that I could take to my room and have a delicious dinner in the privacy of my own wooden deck overlooking the valley and mountains! The room is clean and tidy and there is everything needed to be self-sufficient. Thank you very much for a very relaxing time.

We stayed here as we were running the Cango Marathon, this place is just 2 km from the start. The ostrich steak from their restaurant after the race was the best I have ever had! I would highly recommend this place.

It was an amazing experience and a great stay, I would only replace or add a few things in the kitchen, everything was not there, it was difficult to grill outside in the cold and then no TV, maybe needed for the children. The people there are incredibly friendly and considerate.
The children enjoyed it so much. What a nice stop to start the holiday. We will definitely go there again. Just wish the shop was open a little later.

The staff members were so friendly and helpful from the minute we arrived until we left two days later. It included the management, restaurant personnel, personnel working with the animals as well as the cleaning staff. I cannot remember encountering this at any other venue where we stayed during the past few years.
Pienaar, the farm manager, made us feel welcome immediately, also the staff. The self-catering units area neat and cozy and has everything you need. Stunning area and enough activities to keep you busy. Cango Caves and Wildlife Ranch is just around the corner for a day or two of adventure. Even though the restaurant closes at 17:00 it isn't an issue, you just have to plan your things accordingly. We will definitely be back if we plan another Karoo holiday. Thanks for outstanding service and friendliness.

I wasn't aware that breakfast isn't included in the less expensive rooms. The room had no window, we had to leave the patio door open during the night. Safety? The restaurant closes at 17:00, too early for a resort! A family with young children will like it though.
My family and I slept at Wilgewandel for 2 nights, while we showed our children the Kango Caves and Outshoorn area. Children were ecstatic about the swings, see-saws and animals, especially the camels. The accommodation was very neat. However, it is disturbing if you have slightly noisy neighbors, because the residential units are close to each other. The breakfast, which was included in our stay, was delicious. The fact that it is only served from 8:30 made it impossible for us to have breakfast the second morning, because we already had to hit the road early. (would like to see breakfast available earlier). Furthermore, everything was very nice and the staff were always friendly and helpful.
Wilgewandel is a woderful place if you want to have a good time with your kids. Close to Kango Caves.

Upon our arrival, everyone was friendly and gave us a warm welcome. The staff can't do enough for you. You could approach any person, there was no need to be sent from port to starboard. The accommodation was clean and tidy. Towels were changed every day and wood was provided for the men who wanted to barbecue.

They decided to cut the grass on the farm until after 22:00 in the evening with a tractor and brushcutter. The peace and quiet was disturbed.
Great place to stay over just outside of the Cango Caves. Staff were extremely hospitable and helped with local information as well as organising the best ostrich sausage ever!! We had ostrich sausage for breakfast and dinner for 2 days! Beds were extremely comfortable and the views from our room were so pretty. Would highly recommend the place!
