My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the location. The accommodation was neat and clean and offers everything one would need. We were pleasantly surprised by the safety and distance to the beach as well as to town. Marie was on time to receive us and walk us through the house. It was incredibly nice and we will definitely go again.

The house is well equipped. Parking is a problem, especially if there are more than one vehicle. Everything is withing walking distance.

DStv does not exist, struggled to get our deposit back. Very unprofessional, had to drive 15 km to get the key, thought it was a scam. LekkeSlaap was very professional, we plan on using them again, but not Xanske's.

"Near beach."

Xanske's Place was very conveniently close to the sea but that was where it stopped for us. The house's rooms were very small and dark for us. There is also only one bathroom in the house - which opens into the living room. A deposit of R1,000 was asked for breakages and then an amount of R300,00 was also asked for cleaning costs. There are so many rules and regulations posted everywhere that one feels quite unwelcome. For me it is extremely unprofessional as you have to pay an amount for cleaning. I also sent an inquiry to Marie last week (7 days after our stay) as our deposit has not yet been refunded but have not yet received any feedback or our deposit. We have left the house in a clean and tidy condition to ensure that we will receive our deposit back.

Our stay was amazing. There was much more than we expected. Peaceful and tranquil. We enjoyed it very much. Thank you very much!

"The house and the appliances (those that were in working order) were old and shabby, the items advertised were out of order and the response of the owner was unacceptable."

We notified the owner of the following, but our reasonable request for a refund for 1 night was ignored: The pool table was out of order; the cues were broken in half an mended with cellotape; the triangle and white ball were nowhere to be seen; the dishwasher they advertised was dirty - we tried using it 4 times but eventually we had to wash everything by hand; the steel in the BBQ is twisted; the braai equipment is old and broken; the light bulb in the bathroom didn't work; and the switch for all the other lights in the living area was hidden in a cupboard by the sink. They didn't leave any notes to explain this. We had to buy extra towels to put on the floor because the shower leaked like crazy. This is an unacceptable expense for guests. No proper glases; we had to buy our own. Isn't this why we paid the deposit? So that owner can replace stuff that was broken by the previous guests. The rules of conduct were indicated everywhere and if you don't keep to it you will lose your deposit; not professional. The furniture, appliances and box TV are old; When we arrived we had to drive around to find the key and we also had to leave it at a specifice place. The feedback we got was weak and full of excuses - I don't recommend this place to anyone.
