6 guests' feedbackHad a good weekend, but a few things to point out. The kitchen light did not work. Three bedrooms had no toilet paper, a tiny bit had been left on the roll in each bathroom (we had to drive to the main lodge on our first night to buy toilet paper). We were booked in as 11 guests but there were only 9 bath towels provided (2 guests did not have towels). WiFi would be a bonus and some sort of generator as there is no power during loadshedding and the stoves etc. are all electric (not gas).
The pipe in the kitchen was not working and caused the house to be dirty and dishwasher not working, so it was a mess.
The place has everything that one could possibly need to prepare food etc. The host was very welcoming and warm. I am definitely coming back with my family. Big space inside and outside.
We enjoyed ourselves. The animals were an attraction for us. It is quite and relaxing. Everything we needed was there in the house.
The splash pool was not cleaned, the pool light was out - only wires in the hole. The braai lights don't work. The bunk beds' mattresses are as thin as paper, bedding is old and tired and not clean. The balcony had not been swept for months. The railing on the balcony is not secure. There are no fans in all the rooms, one of the 5's head could not turn. The furniture is old, shabby and dirty. The plastic chairs are cracked in the middle and unusable. This unit cannot be advertised as luxury. Dust and under and on top of beds. W14 is extremely disappointing and not value for money.
The accommodation is located in the beautiful woodland. Although the wildlife and area was a good experience, the stay itself was an unpleasant experience and definitely not value for money. On arrival at 14:15, the lodge was not yet clean and beds had not even been made. The process continued until 16:00. The amount of people that can be accommodated is misleading. The single room has nothing but a bed and not even a fan. Room number 6 is only suitable for young children. There were many flaws, room number 3's wall plugs and fan did not work. The guest bathroom light was out of order. The dishwasher's soap bar holder was broken. The outside bin was constantly full and an attraction for flies. This was not the result of a lax cleaner, rather an unfinished task for one person and poor management.
