43 guests' feedbackIt’s very neat, the food is out of this world, and there’s great customer service there.
Very nice, luxurious lodge. They accommodated us very well with our 4-month-old baby boy. The presidential suite was breathtakingly beautiful. Only wished we could have used a fireplace which was not possible, the water pressure for shower and bath was bad with little hot water and with no solar panels we could not enjoy the beautiful sunrise with a hot coffee early in the morning on the deck during loadshedding . Hearing the lions every day was definitely a highlight of the lodge. Really enjoyed the Spa - would just like to have nice scenery in that nice woodland. Food was very nice - would just think for the price per night there wouldn't be limits on the breakfast choices. It was a nice, luxurious getaway.
Place needs attention. Like e.g. on the main deck the planks lift and my wife tripped over them and almost fell. We also think with our experience at other 5-star lodges that the lodge falls far short.
The place is wonderful. The food is fantastic, and the staff very good.
The staff is very competent. There is never any wondering about what will happen. They keep you informed without taking over. Everyone friendly and knowledgeable about their area.
The food was lovely, and I think our room was perfect. I think sun loungers on the private patios would be a great addition.
We enjoyed it very much!
We could not hope for more, the food was delicious, the game drive were informative and fun, the only thing that i could of wished for was an aircon, it was very warm at night in the room. There were also dead animals in the field that was upsetting but further our stay was very enjoyable and all our needs were catered for. Most enjoyable weekend.
Vir 'n 5-ster? Geen aircon nie. Wild is maar min. Aktiwiteite min. Die drinkgoed ongelooflik duur.
My wife and I were at Zwahili for our honeymoon. We had been to many lodges in the past, but Zwahili stood head and shoulders above them all. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They went out of their way on more than one occasion to make our time there super special. The food was incredibly delicious. The game drives with Jannie, the game ranger were unforgettable, I have never met anyone with such knowledge and passion for his work and nature. Zwahili is truly a special lodge to visit and we will definitely be going back again and again.
The weekend was wonderful! We ate well, rested and drove around. The game wardens are very well trained and made every game drive interesting. The food was tasty.
We had a wonderful stay, safari tents are luxurious and private, buildings and decor very appropriate and they are well maintained. All the staff were very helpful, friendly & very fluent in Afrikaans and English. The food was top notch.
Excellent service, kindness and hospitality. Fantastic food.
It was our anniversary and Zwahili went out of their way to make it special. Everyone was so friendly.
Was located quietly and close to Johannesburg.
We've never been to a place with staff that come close to this! The place was unbelievable but the staff made it even beter! To Charity, Letta, Piet, Frans, Basil and the kitchen staff, thank you so much!
Lovely getaway for my wife and I. Close enough to Johannesburg so that you don't return home being tired and far enough to relax. Tranquil and good-natured atmosphere, excellent service and beautiful facilities. Enjoyed it a lot and will come back.
We got 50% discount and it was good value for money. Zwahili is a nice and tranquil and romantic lodge. Food was delicious and the staff were very helpful.
Service was very good. And the staff is incredibly friendly.
With the discount price it was OK, very nice rooms and good food, not many kinds of wildlife to see, so it's too expensive without the discount price and if the full price is to be paid it's not really value for money.
Very pleasant and beautiful vacation spot. The food was excellent and the service first class. It's the ideal place to just unpack and rest. You don't have to worry about anything: meals, game drives, a spa, everything helps you to rest in a short time. All the staff were friendly and helpful and made it very pleasant to rest here.
The staff are very professional and friendly and the food was top notch. The tranquility of the lodge was the biggest attraction for us. The men who do the game drives know their story and I was impressed with their knowledge of the field and animals. Two days were too little. Perhaps only one negative point: The costs for the average SA tourist I would think are just too high. Even with the 40% discount, one can easily visit Mauritius for 7 days for the same rate. In any case, we had a great time at Zwahili, thank you.
Welcome was great. Game drive was enjoyable and ranger had a lot of knowledge. Linen need to be upgraded. Cleaned but worn-out. We were spoiled by staff and so well-planned that we never was desturbed at any time.
We have spent the most amazing 2 days at the Zwahili Game Lodge to celebrate my birthday. The food was good and well presented. A very big thank you to the wonderful staff, specially Jabu, Charity, Joseph (with his great sense of humor) Basil and Piet for making our weekend memorable.
The silence of the forest, the roar of the lions, the young zebra that comes to scratch its head.
A good place to visit, unwind and relax a tranquil atmosphere topped by excellent service from the staff. I will definitely recommend it to others and friends. Good value for money.
Good accommodation, location and service. Food was excellent!

The food is top notch and the massage was heavenly! Awnings for the cars may need to be considered.
It was a true gem in the bushveld. You are carried on the hands from the moment you drive through the gates, until you reluctantly have to leave paradise. Nothing is too much trouble and every request is carried out with a smile. The staff is very friendly. The food is outstanding. The game drives also stand out as a must-do experience. The ranger, Basil, ensures an unforgettable hour in nature with his extensive knowledge of the animals, birds and even the trees and plants of the area. The farm is definitely worth a second and even third visit.
Our stay at Zwahili was pure pampering from the moment we arrived. The staff is very professional, friendly and makes you feel at all times that they only want to give and do the best for you... and Salomina is an amazing cook, we bit our fingers in places (haha).
It had been worth it.
Zwahili was a wonderful, relaxing experience. We were there during the week and therefore had pretty much the entire lodge to ourselves. The staff's service was great. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. The rooms are tasteful and clean.

The silence and natural beauty experienced at Zwahili is just what a city dweller needs. Very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely worth the money.
What a wonderful getaway for me and my husband. We stayed two nights, but truly as rested as a week's holiday. Fantastic service, nothing was too much trouble and every one of the staff were so warm. The natural beauty was unforgettable, wildlife abundant, with a veld git who enjoyed every moment with us as if it was his first time. His general knowledge about wildlife is noteworthy. Every meal was something to look forward to, tasty and very well prepared. How I don't miss those picturesque sunsets, with only the woodland sounds and peace in the evening breeze!
This is a place where you are truly treated like valued guests. The staff is great, the food GREAT! No one will ever be able to forget the luxurious rooms. Will go again. Value for 5 star.
We had a fabulous time at Zwahili Game Lodge. It was my husbands 70th Birthday present and we also had our niece staying with us from Germany that joined us on this trip. The staff is very well trained and super friendly and looked after us extremely well. The food was out of this world and enjoyed by all. The presentation of the meals was absolutely fantastic. The breakfast buffet and side orders you could order from the breakfast menu selection was 5 star! Not good for the figure!! You just ate too much. The game drives were great and Denzel was a great guide and host. We missed seeing the Leopards though.
We had a great time. The management and staff are committed to making your stay comfortable and relaxing. The lodge is superb. A special shout out goes to Charity, Denzi, Basil and Frans.
Just do it - book here! This Game Lodge is a real treat!
We had a most relaxing stay with outstanding service. The meals were fantastic and I was spoiled by the staff with a romantic evening on my birthday! Just found the bed a little uncomfortable.
Wonderful place with excellent service, accommodation and food.
It was a great experience. Very peaceful and tranquil, with lots of time to oneself. Wonderful in all regards, especially the staff.
