Accommodation is provided in 3 Springbok Chalet's, 1 Zebra Cottage and 1 Kudu Chalet. All units are more or less 300m from the main lodge/swimming pool area. The Kudu chalet boasts ample space for larger families and comprises 2 en-suite bedrooms that can be arranged in king or single beds. The Zebra chalet is a secluded, little romantic hideaway. It is an open plan studio with a double bed, an en-suite shower and an enclosed bush braai. The Springbok chalets have double beds and en-suite showers.
There are plenty of activities to do whilst here, swimming, hiking, reading on your deck, watching the animals, and soaking up the scenery. There are board games and books to keep the children entertained. Our main lodge/dining area is where we light our nightly fires and serve dinner and breakfast with the added bonus of watching the animals dine as well. This makes every evening a special occasion. We can also arrange tours at local tourist attraction sites, eg Cango Caves and Ostrich farms, so please request more information about this if interested.
Wonderful encounters with wildlife, fabulous food, long nights around the blazing fire and yet a mere 20 minutes away from the bustling town of Oudtshoorn. Other major attractions that are easily accessible from us is the exhilarating Swartberg Pass, the winey road through the wonders of Meiringspoort, the glorious Cango Caves and hysterical Ostriches. All this makes Oudtshoorn the tenth most visited region in South Africa

3 guests' feedbackThe folks at the lodge were attentive, and allowed us space to enjoy on our own. We got great recommendations for outings, all of which were exceptional. Wonderful gracious family style hospitality, beautiful peaceful surroundings, delicious meals, and comfortable amenities.
Saw the wild animals. Chalets tidy with air conditioning and very peaceful atmosphere. Dinner in main Lodge well prepared according to our needs. Environment pleasant.
We stayed an extra night. Good value for money, beautiful location, very welcoming hosts, and close to Oudtshoorn and De Rust. Good advice on things to see and do in the area, and delicious breakfast! Exactly what we wanted to break away from the city.
